Sylvia Lehman
Sylvia Louise Lehman, age 63 of Celina, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, at 4:57 PM at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH. She was born on January 5, 1961, in St. Marys, Ohio, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Lenore C. (Barhorst) Otte. On May 9, 1981, she married David L. Lehman who preceded her in death October 26, 2020.
She is survived by two children: Kyle (Jessica) Lehman of Celina, OH, and Shannon Lehman of Broadview Heights, OH, stepdaughter, Lisa (Jeff) Etgen of Ft. Jennings, OH, siblings: Judy (Tedd) Short of Minster, OH, Janet Campbell of Beavercreek, OH, Jerry (Peg) Otte of Maria Stein, OH, Annette (Tom) Kremer of New Weston, OH, sister-in-law, Carol Otte of Centerville, three grandchildren: Sydney, Corbin, and Bryer Lehman, and two step-grandchildren, Ashlie and Alyssa Cox.
She was preceded in death by brother, Jim Otte.
Sylvia was a graduate of Marion Local High School Class of 1979. She worked for Celina City Schools. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster.
Sylvia enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She loved attending their football, baseball, softball and soccer games. She also really enjoyed watching her son coach football and baseball and her daughter coach volleyball. When not spending time with her children and grandchildren, she loved traveling around the country with her sister Janet and spending time visiting with the rest of her brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 48 N. Hanover St, Minster, OH 45865. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
Memorials to honor Sylvia may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cromesfh.com
