A weak system moves into the area later today, providing light snow accumulations. With cold conditions in place, snow will accumulate on roadways, especially after sunset. Accumulations of less than one inch are expected, but slick conditions may continue into Friday morning due to the cold conditions.
Motorists should exercise extra caution through the evening and overnight hours. What appears to be wet roads may actually be patches of ice, particularly if you drive over a bridge. Slow down and allow extra distance between you and other vehicles.

Clara Ballweg
Clara Jane (Will) Ballweg, age 90, of Chickasaw, died on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Mercer County Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born August 23, 1934, in St. Peter, Ohio to the late Lawrence & Theresa (Jacobs) Will. On May 30, 1956, she married Eugene Ballweg and he survives in Chickasaw.
Clara Jane is survived by children, Kenneth Ballweg of Coldwater, Lisa & Richard Bishop of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Linda & David Champagne of New Bremen, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by siblings and in-laws, Sister Laura Will of Dayton, Harold Broering of Maria Stein, Esther Ballweg of New Bremen.
She is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws, Viro & Henrietta Will, Rosella Broering, Anna Marie & Zeno Diller, Dorothy & Ben Sliemers, Sister Ruth Will, Sister Pat Will, Rita & Richard Boeckman, Luke & Mildred Will, LaHoma & Leroy Egbert, Treva & Tony Pietrzak, Melba & Al Tangeman, Cletus & Polly Ballweg and Bob Ballweg.
She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, the Rosary Altar Sodality, a Eucharistic Minister, and former organist at both St. Peter Catholic Church and Precious Blood Church, Chickasaw. She was a 1952 graduate of Coldwater High School, formerly worked as a secretary for Mersman Bros., receptionist for Dr. Richard Ramsey DDS, and was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed many years at the TDF Ballroom Dance Club with her husband, Eugene. She enjoyed many traveling adventures with family and later visiting her children in many far-off places.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Chickasaw.
Friends may call on Monday, December 9 from 4PM to 7PM and on Tuesday from 9AM to 10AM, at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
