Marilyn Lauth
Marilyn C. Lauth, 87, of Saint Marys, died 1:25 P.M. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 29, 1937, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Violet (Truesdale) Leffel.
She married James Lauth on January 5, 1957, at the New Knoxville United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2022.
She is survived by her children: Dennis (Connie) Lauth of Saint Marys; Daryl Lauth of Saint Marys; Rick (Traci) Lauth of Saint Marys; Don (Robyn) Lauth of Saint Marys; Annette (Doug) Moran of Saint Marys; Sue (Dan) Grothause of Saint Marys. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings: Linda Niemeyer of New Knoxville; Sharon Kruse of New Knoxville; Tom (Ann) Leffel of New Knoxville; Joe Leffel of Saint Marys; Joyce Ratterman of Botkins.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sharon Leffel of New Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her siblings: Quetora Stout; Morris Leffel; Carolyn Bambauer; Lila Lauth; and Larry Leffel.
Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of New Knoxville High School. She retired in 1999, after 22 years of service in the Housekeeping Department at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. Marilyn was an incredible cook and baker and she liked growing flowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and really enjoyed attending their school and sporting events. She liked playing the piano and was a member of the Wayne Street Church in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Wayne Street Church in Saint Marys, the Reverend Tim Benjamin, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3-7 P.M. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to either Wayne Street Church or Grand Lake Hospice.
