* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Daniel Reed
Daniel Reed, age 101 of Coldwater, died on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born September 10, 1923 in Sycamore, Ohio to the late Charles & Bertha (Pontius) Reed. He was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Barbara Reed in 2020.
He is survived by a son Thomas D. & Evan Reed of Lexington, SC; a daughter in law Jan Reed of Coldwater; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Loren H. Dillon of Upper Sandusky. He is preceded in death by a son John D. Reed.
Dan was a veteran of the United States Army and served in both Europe and the Asian-Pacific during World War II. He was a member of Covenant Community Church in Coldwater, the Rotary Club, former director of the Wyandot Senior Village, and the City of Upper Sandusky Planning commission. Dan was proud to work, and he did not retire until the age of 89. He was president of Upper Auto Parts for over 40 years and he retired from Reineke Family Dealerships. He enjoyed being a part of and supporting the many activities of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Covenant Community Church in Coldwater.
Friends may call from 9:30 until time of service on Friday at the church. Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Briarwood Village Activity Fund.
