David Taylor
David E. Taylor, 75, of Rockford, Ohio died Wednesday evening, January 29, 2025, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater, Ohio.
He was born August 12, 1949 in Valley Creek, Tennessee and was the son of the late Earl Taylor and Ruby (Pemberton) Taylor Dillehay.
Dave was a graduate of Parkway High School in Rockford, Ohio. On June 20, 1970 he married Kathy (Bollenbacher) Taylor, who survives.
He enjoyed camping and fishing. Dave also loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's various activities.
In addition to his wife, also surviving are Dave's step-father, John "Jack" Dillehay of Fort Loramie, Ohio; one son, Matthew (Gina) Taylor of Salt Lake City, Utah; three daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Dietsch of Edgerton, Ohio, Nikki (Mike) Etzler of Coldwater, Ohio, and Kristi (Roger) Voisard of Fort Loramie, Ohio; two sisters, Diana Roth of Celina, Ohio and Barbara Rogers of Rockford, Ohio; and eleven grandchildren, Taylor Dietsch, Jaden Dietsch, Cole Etzler, Spencer Etzler, Campbell Etzler, Briggs Etzler, Rhese Voisard, Quinci Voisard, Sunni Voisard, Stella Taylor, and Ruby Taylor.
A memorial service in Dave's honor will be held 2:30 pm, Sunday February 2, 2025 at St. Paul's Country Church, 1538 Oregon Road, Rockford, Ohio 45882, with Pastor Mike Husted officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Country Church Cemetery. The family will have a reception at the church, following the memorial service, where family and friends can gather to share special memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be considered to be given to either the Animal Protection League of Mercer County, P. O. Box 663, Celina, Ohio 45822, or to the Ronald McDonald House in Dayton, in care of Ronald McDonald House Charities, 555 Valley Street, Dayton, Ohio 45404.
