Richard Stucke
Richard O. Stucke, age 81, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at Kindred Hospital in Dayton.
He was born October 12, 1943, to the late Werner & Alvera (Vehorn) Stucke. On April 23, 1966, he married Francella (Rindler) Stucke. Richard and Francella were married for over 58 years, and Francella survives at their home in St. Henry.
Richard is also survived by his five children and their spouses: Dave Stucke of New Bremen, Craig Stucke of Miamisburg, Brian & Julie Stucke of London, Ohio, Beth & Andy Bossetti of Delaware, Ohio, and Dan & Kristin Stucke of Centerville. Additional surviving family members include five grandchildren, Emma and Will Stucke, Grace and Ava Bossetti, and Leah Stucke, as well as siblings and in-laws: Pat Watercutter of Cranberry Prairie, Ronald & Carolyn Stucke of Cassella, Susan Adams of Celina, Nick & Bonnie Stucke of Mason, John & Cindy Stucke of Chickasaw, Lavern & Sue Stucke of Lebanon, Ohio, Dale & Phyllis Stucke of Ashburn, Virginia, Ann Stucke of Minster, Pam Stucke of St. Rose, Rosella & John Bornhorst of New Bremen, Janice Rindler of Burkettsville, and Patricia Rindler of Coldwater.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert and Jim, and in-laws: Gerald Watercutter, Gary Wendel, Bob Adams, and Jerome Rindler, as well as his father and mother-in-law, Frank & Agnes Rindler.
Richard was a 1961 graduate of Marion Local High School and served in the Army Reserves. He worked at the former New Idea factory in Coldwater until its closing in 2000. He then worked for Crown Equipment in New Bremen until his retirement. Richard was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, where he had served as a communion distributor and a past parish council member.
He also served on the St. Henry Park Board and was a little league coach. Richard enjoyed golfing, bowling, and was a dedicated follower of the St. Henry Football team for many years. He also enjoyed working with his hands and sharing his talents helping his children, family, and friends. Richard enjoyed being with his family and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and siblings at family gatherings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Following the funeral mass, burial will take place in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends and relation may call on Thursday, February 6, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
