Richard Riethman
Richard "Rick" P. Riethman, age 64, of Minster, Ohio, died on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Ohio Hospice Inpatient, Troy Ohio. He was born on December 24, 1960 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Elmer & Mary E. (Bertke) Riethman. He married Karen Homan on August 14, 1993 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea, Ohio and she survives in Minster.
He is also survived by daughter & son-in-law: Michelle & David Huelskamp, Portland, IN, grandchildren: Jack, Otto, Greta, siblings: Jane & Fred Vehorn, Botkins, Jim & Kathy Riethman, New Bremen, Dennis & Rita Riethman, Coldwater, Teresa & Doug Wehmeyer, Centerville, Duane & Renette Riethman, Van Wert, Ted & Tina Riethman, Minster, brother-in-law Dale Steinlage & JoAnne, Centerville, in-laws: Ken & Esther Homan, Coldwater, siblings-in-law: Chuck & Cathy Homan, Fort Recovery Joe Homan, Coldwater, Linda & Shane Woods, Landeck and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joan Steinlage.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster and an usher for the church. He was a member of the K of C #2158 Minster, the St. Gasper De Bufalo 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus, former President of the #2158 Home Corporation of the K of C, Shelby County Pork Producers, NFO and a former Township Trustee on the Board of Appeals for McClain Twp. He was a lifelong farmer and semi-truck driver for Heartland Feeds. He was a fan of the Minster Wildcats, The Ohio State Buckeyes, but was an avid and loyal Browns fan. He was most proud of being a grandpa and spending time with his grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, March 6, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio with burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, from 3 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 and from 8:30 to 9:00 AM on Thursday, March 6.
