Scott Egbert
Scott Allen Egbert, 56, of rural Botkins, died 1:58 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, with his loving family at his side.
He was born July 26, 1968, in Sidney, OH, the son of Ronald L. and Donna (Schmerge) Egbert. His parents survive in Botkins. On October 6, 2001, he married Kristina G. Ruebush, and she survives.
Other survivors include, 4 children,  Gregory A., Alex E., Christian L., and Mary Ann Egbert, all at home; brothers, Jim (Elaine) Egbert, Brian (Terrie) Egbert, and Bruce (Justine) Egbert, all of Botkins; and several niece and nephews.
Scott worked as a cattle buyer with Egbert Livestock. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins, and a 1987 graduate of Botkins Local High School. Scott enjoyed attending livestock sales, mowing grass, and spending time with his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial is to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Botkins.
The family will receive family and friends 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, and 9-9:45 a.m., Wednesday at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta.
Memorial contributions may be directed to a fund established for Scott's children's education.
