* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Erma Maxwell
Erma Jean Maxwell, age 86, of Celina, passed away peacefully, and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, May 13, 2025.
She was born January 8, 1939, in Milford, Ohio, the daughter of Orin & Dorothy Hammer.     Erma and Alfred T. Maxwell Sr. were married on October 15, 1955, and he survives, along with their 3 sons: Alfred "Ted" Maxwell Jr. and David Maxwell of Celina, and Douglas Maxwell of New Concord, Ohio,6 grandchildren: Tammy Miller, Cindy Maxwell, Kristy Maxwell, Carolann Dennis, Kati Shamsho, and Cody Maxwell, 11 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Roger and Steve Hammer, and Dog: Buddy, her protector.
She was preceded in death by a sister and 3 brothers: Joanne Brown, and John, Don, and Pete Hammer, and daughter-in-law: Racinda Maxwell.
Erma had been a Homemaker, and was Mother Hen to her family. She was a kind and loving person, who would give anything she had to help someone. Erma could put together her own recipes, and could make something out of nothing. She took care of the kids, cats, and all the family Holidays.
Calling Hours will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, May 19, with Funeral Services to follow at 1:00, Pastor Kyle Houts, officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
