Waynedale rallies to beat Coldwater in state semifinals

AKRON - The top two teams in Division V according to the coaches faced off for a berth in the state championship game.
It appeared that Coldwater would need just one run to win, but Apple Creek Waynedale found a way to get two for themselves.
Cameron Miller's two-out single in the bottom of the fifth brought home the tying and go-ahead runs, and Shane Coblentz made it stand up as the Golden Bears defeated the Cavaliers 2-1 at Canal Park in Akron on Friday afternoon. [More]

WAPAKONETA - A plan to raze an outdated nursing home to clear the way for the development of a new facility has been brought to the forefront thanks to a $1.07 million state grant awarded to Auglaize County Commissioners.
CELINA - A 56-year-old Celina woman is believed to have suffered serious injuries after a semitrailer reportedly ran a red light and slammed into her car Friday morning at the intersection of Havemann Road and State Route 29.
CELINA - A 32-year-old Celina man was given a brief jail sentence and five years of probation and ordered to register as a Tier 1 sex offender for the next 15 years after pleading guilty to to one count of sexual imposition, a third-degree misdemeanor.
WAPAKONETA - The Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred Friday at approximately 3:19 p.m. in Auglaize County.
