* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

David Schaaf
David A. Schaaf, 69, of Lima, OH died 9:58 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.
He was born October 25, 1955 in St. Marys, OH to David L. and Gayle C. (Polen) Schaaf. On October 21, 1989 he married Lisa A. Luebrecht, who survives.
Also survived by: son Wayne Schaaf of Lima, OH; son Christopher Schaaf of Lima, OH; mother-in-law Judy Lubrecht of Wapakoneta, OH; sister-in-law Della Schaaf of St. Marys, OH; brother-in-law Rick Luebrecht of London, OH; sister-in-law Kathy (Steve) Martin of Wapakoneta, OH and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: Parents David and Gayle Schaaf; brother Larry Schaaf; and father-in-law Richard Luebrecht.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1974) and attended Wright State University. A forklift operator, he retired from the Ford Motor Co. Engine Plant in Lima. Some of David's favorite pastimes included traveling, attending concerts, being outdoors and playing bass guitar. An accomplished artist, he created numerous paintings and wood carvings.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, prior to the funeral service.
