Sherry Minton
Sherry Patrice (Buckloh) Minton, age 74, of Grove City and formerly of Wabash, passed away June 21, 2025 at the Monterey Care Center in Grove City. She was born January 10, 1951, in Celina, Ohio, the daughter of the late Cloyd and Dorothy (Bryan) Buckloh.
She graduated from Celina High School and completed her undergraduate degree at Miami University. Sherry earned a master's degree from Bowling Green State University.
Sherry was a long-time career education teacher, department head, and career education coordinator at South-Western City Schools. She had a lengthy second career at Columbus State Community College. Her commitment to education was driven by a genuine desire to see students succeed, not just academically but also personally.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Minton, her daughter and son-in-law Christina and Andrew Hutchings of Reynoldsburg, her son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Karen Minton of Dublin, and her grandson Cooper Minton.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow services in the Swamp College Cemetery in Celina. A public visitation will be held for family and friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 and an hour before services at the funeral home on Wednesday.
In her memory, a scholarship fund will be established at Columbus State Community College. In lieu of flowers, donations to this fund may be sent to the Columbus State Foundation, 550 E. Spring Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 (memo line - Sherry Minton).
