Susan Tesno
Susan (Armour) Tesno, age 75, passed away on June 21, 2025 at her home in Bellevue, Kentucky. Susan was born on April 30, 1950 in Piqua to the (late) Deane & Irene (Beam) Armour.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Theresa Tesno, the father of her children, James Tesno of Montezuma, brother and wife, Deane & Sandy Armour of Montezuma, in-laws Mary & Fred Drakesmith of St. Charles, MO, in addition to nieces, nephews, and the many she loved as if they were her own children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved corgi, Brenin.
Susan was preceded in death by daughter, Katherine Tesno, and sister-in-law, Barbie Tesno.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Christian Mother's Sodality. Susan earned her place in Heaven during her long social services professional career, including Hospice of Mercer and Darke County, Child Protective Services, the Family Crisis Network. As a Dual Diagnosis Therapist, Susan dedicated herself helping people struggling with addiction and mental health issues live positive lives, and her final role, providing these services for the inmates of Hamilton County.
She was a graduate of Bradford High School and Urbana University. She always believed in the importance of voting, and was proud to be part of The Urbana 34, a sit-in protest after poll workers denied her and others their right to vote. She was arrested, faced federal charges, and won. She also had a deep love for Scotland. Susan was most proud of being the best mother ever to her daughters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 27th, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 26 from 4 to 7 PM and on Friday from 9 to 10 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Susan had interests and hobbies that were near and dear to her heart. Memorial donations, made to her family, will be distributed accordingly.
