Several people were airlifted with serious injuries over the weekend in two separate motorcycle accidents in Mercer County, according to sheriff Doug Timmerman.

A New Madison man died as the result of a house fire Saturday. Responding fire personnel were able to quickly extinguish the fire and remove the only occupant from the structure, but he died at the scene.

Two Indiana men were arrested in Darke County Saturday for carrying bulk amounts of fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamine, according to a report from the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
