* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Donald Rawers
Donald A. Rawers, age 82, of Guadalupe Road, New Bremen, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 5:55 A.M. at the Elmwood Assisted Living in New Bremen. He was born on March 6, 1943 in Dayton, the son of the late Walter J. and Armella H. (Knapke) Rawers.
He is survived by his brother David Rawers of rural New Bremen, his brother-in-law Paul McEnroe of Buellton, CA, niece Maureen (James) Howard of Clayton, NC, and nephew Mark (Erika) McEnroe of Los Gatos, CA.
He was preceded in death by his sister Ann McEnroe and nephew Paul McEnroe Jr.
Donald was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma where he had served as an usher and also was a volunteer at the Maria Stein Retreat Center. He had graduated from Chaminade High School in Dayton and received an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton. Donald was engaged in farming for a number of years and had worked for 28 years with the Western Union Telegraph Co. and retired from the Dannon Co. of Minster in 2008.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma with Rev. Fr. Prashaneh Bandanadham officiating.
Donald had chosen to donate his body to the Ohio State University for medical research, and his remains will be inurned at a later date.
Memorial contributions in memory of Donald can be made to charity of the donor's choice.
