* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Burke Goines
Burke Lee Goines, 61 of St. Henry, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday August 16, 2025, at 3:13 AM. Burke was born on October 20, 1963, the son of the late Aravery and Janie Belle (Enis) Goines.
Burke graduated from Ansonia High School in 1982 and attended Findley College; he then served in the United States Army for 4 years and left with an honorable discharge. He then worked several jobs throughout his life, the last of which was at Elkhart Tri-Went Industrial in Geneva, Indiana, leaving the job in 2021 due to health issues.
Burke really enjoyed the time he spent with his wife. His words to his wife nightly were "Forever and Always." He enjoyed watching his grandchildren running around the house; he loved his family. He really enjoyed watching sports and loved his history and loved talking about memories growing up with his siblings.
Burke is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Harvey Goines.
Burke is survived by his wife Deborah (Resler) Goines, his children, Dana Jane (Marshall), Dustin Albert, Ariel Paige (Kean), and Falicia Renee (Brandon); his grandchildren, Haven, Karsyn, Starlynn, Khloe, Arya, Haizley, Kennedy, and Evelyn; his siblings, Lisa Brown, Steve (Angie) Goines, Tommy Goines, James (Teresa) Goines, and Jeffrey (Michelle) Goines; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday August 23, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Jesse Sibert officiating. Burial will follow in Snell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday August 22, 2025, at the funeral home. Veterans' graveside services will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
