Rosalie Bergman
Rosalie Carol Bergman, age 87, of St. Henry, died early Thursday, August 28, 2025, at her residence in St. Henry. Carol was born May 8, 1938, in Burkettsville to the late Ray & Bertha (Bruening) Schwieterman. On September 17, 1960, she married Bernard "Bud" Bergman. Carol and Bud were married for 51 years until his passing on July 22, 2013.
Carol is survived by her four children and their spouses, Jeff & Shelly (Snow) Bergman of Cincinnati, Lisa & Steve Prenger, Brad & Julie (Wendel) Bergman, and Todd & Kristi (Guggenbiller) Bergman, all of St. Henry. Other surviving family members include her 11 grandchildren, Brett & Andy Koening, Kelsey Bergman, Tanya & Mike Helton, Brent Prenger, Brooke & Kyle Fredericks, Evan & Chloe Prenger, Drew and Bree Bergman, Caden, Paige, and Greyson Bergman, 15 great grandchildren, as well as her brother Gary & Kathy Schwieterman, and in-laws: Jerry Schmackers, and Virginia Smith.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Carol is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Schmackers, and in laws, Velma & Luke Rammel, Vivian & Lewis Clune, and Robert Smith.
Carol was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers as well as spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at St. Henry Church. Following the funeral mass, burial will take place in St. Henry Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 2, and 9 to 10 am on Wednesday, September 3, at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
