Area Suicide Support Resources walk

Scores of community members turned out for Area Suicide Support Resources (ASSURE)'s suicide awareness walk at the Mercer County Fairgrounds on Saturday morning. ASSURE aims to increase awareness of suicide prevention options offered by community outreach programs throughout Mercer County and the surrounding area. The group was organized in early 2018 by like-minded people whose lives have been affected by the suicide of a loved one or close acquaintance. ASSURE has funds available to assist with expenses for suicide-related events such as counseling, public speaking, funeral costs and more.
