Alfred Maxwell, Sr.
Alfred T. "Ted" Maxwell Sr., age 88, of Celina, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Otterbein St. Marys SeniorLife Community.
He was born July 29, 1937, in Cincinnati, to Warren and Anna Mae (Walker) Maxwell. Ted and Erma Jean Hammer were married on October 15, 1955. Erma only recently passed away, preceding Ted in death on May 13th of this year.
He is survived by 3 sons: Alfred "Ted" Maxwell Jr. and David Maxwell of Celina, and Douglas Maxwell of New Concord, Ohio; 6 grandchildren: Tammy Miller, Cindy Maxwell, Kristy Maxwell, Carolann Dennis, Kati Shamsho, and Cody Maxwell; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Marie Blackmon and brother, Raymond Maxwell, both of Florida.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Racinda Maxwell, brother, Paul Maxwell, and sister-in-law, Mary Maxwell.
Ted had worked at Central Printing in Dayton, and in his younger years, enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Private Services are planned, with burial to take place at Swamp College Cemetery, near Celina.
