The Greater Grand Lake Region Visitors Center launched a new space-themed roadside sign at its facility inside Grand Lake St. Marys State Park. An extension of the agency's 2025 rebranding efforts, the sign features the visitors center's new logo and a shoutout to the region's ties to space and aviation history - including an authentic image of the moon and a scale model of the Saturn V rocket that carried Neil Armstrong there. Visitors center executive director Matt Staugler said Minster-based Creations By Design helped create the installation, while critical funding came via a grant from the National Aviation Heritage Area. Midwest Electric also provided financial support to make the marker a reality.
