Sharon Apple
Sharon A. Apple, age 79, of North Star, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, September 16, 2025, at her daughter's home near Piqua.
Sharon was born June 25, 1946, in Celina to the late John F. & Hilda H. (Wehrkamp) Keiser. On September 7, 1964, she married William G. "Bill" Apple. Sharon and Bill were married for 37 years until his passing on August 25, 2001.
Sharon is survived by her two daughters and their husbands: Lisa & David Linn of Piqua, and Teresa & William "Bill" Torris of Fayetteville, GA. Other surviving family members include four grandchildren, Madison Linn, Emma Linn, Evan Torris, and Mattheus (Elizabeth) Torris, as well as siblings and in-laws: Norma "Jean" Kaiser, Marvin & Wanda Keiser, Betty Keiser-Schlarman, Doris Keiser, Arlene Keiser, Carol "Jane" Apple, Shirley Spitzer, and Marilyn & George Riegle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Sharon is preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Torris, as well as siblings and in-laws, Paul & Norma Keiser, Wilma & Thomas Stammen, Lester Keiser, Louis Keiser, Harold Keiser, John "Jack" Kaiser, Harold Apple, Thomas & Janit Apple, Keith Spitzer, and her father in-law and mother in-law, Norbert & Louise Apple.
Sharon courageously faced her journey with grace, cherishing every precious moment she could spend with her beloved family, who were her greatest pride and joy. She especially treasured her grandchildren, delighting in their many accomplishments through the years. Beyond her family, Sharon's heart was open wide for all creatures great and small. Her home was a welcoming haven for cats, dogs, lambs, bunnies, and any animal in need, lovingly transforming it into her own little sanctuary. She found peace and happiness working in her garden or lending a hand in others', and she loved to sit quietly on her back porch, watching the birds and God's beautiful creatures that surrounded her. Sharon was a devoted lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star and took great joy in her involvement with the St. Anne Ladies Sodality.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Saturday, September 20, 2025, at St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star. Following the funeral mass, burial will take place in St. Louis Cemetery.
