Light snow is expected across the area early Sunday morning. Minor snow accumulations are possible. Temperatures around freezing will support the development of slick spots, especially on elevated and untreated surfaces. Additional snow showers are expected throughout the morning with temperatures dropping into the mid and upper 20s. As the snow showers move through, quick bursts of snow will reduce visibility and result in light snow accumulations which may cover roadways.
If traveling Sunday, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for rapidly changing driving conditions.

Marcile Pontsler
Marcile Pontsler, age 85, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Sunday, November 23, 2025.   
Mrs. Pontsler was born in Van Wert County, Ohio the daughter of the late Eugene Clifford Clouse and the late Ruth Alice (Mongold) Pontsler Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Craig Pontsler.
Mrs. Pontsler was a homemaker but had worked at Hills Hardware, Winder, GA. She loved to garden but family was everything to her especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Glenn R. Pontsler of Jefferson, GA. Daughter, Tammy Deitsch of Mansfield, Ohio. Son, Tim Pontsler (wife, Julia) of Jefferson, GA and daughter-in-law, Sallie Pontsler of Celina, Ohio. Three grandchildren, Jacob Deitsch (Elise) of Powell, Ohio, Sarah Pontsler-Werthmann (Aaron) of Wooster, Ohio and Megan Pontsler of Savannah, GA. Three great grandchildren, Penelope Deitsch, Edison Deitsch and Kieran Pontsler-Werthmann. Sister, Jean-Ann Tredway (Jay) of Buford, GA. Step sister, Paulette Miller (Mike) of Arizona.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, December 1, 2025 from the Chapel of Cowan & Son Funeral Home, 616 S. Washington Street, Van Wert, Ohio 45891 with Salvation Army officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home prior to the service.
