Audrey Meyer
Audrey L. Meyer, age 99 of Minster Ohio, died on February 10, 2026 at Elmwood Assisted Living in New Bremen.
She was born on August 17, 1926 in Minster Ohio, to the late Arthur and Margaret (Knostman) Vallo. On July 17, 1948 she married Wilfred (Will) Meyer at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. He proceeded her in death on August 27, 2000.
She is survived by her son Jon and daughter-in-law Barbara (Simon) Meyer, Minster, 6 grandchildren, Ellie (Jeff) Wolf, Minster, Shelley (Brian) Wolf, Minster, Andy (Kathy) Bergman, Minster, Kevin (Jenni) Meyer, Minster, Kerri Bergman, Minster and Jenna (Brad) Prenger, Cincinnati, and 16 great grandchildren, Brooke (Henry) Keller & Kaitlyn Wolf, Averi (Isaac) Schmiesing, Brady & Ansley Wolf, Nathan, Kendyl & Kalli Bergman, Ashley & Ben Meyer, Alayna, Jonathan, & Cameron Bergman, Reese, Zoe, & Sebastian Prenger and the first two great, great grandchildren on the way.
She was proceeded in death by her daughter Mary Ellen Bergman on March 21, 1996, son-in-law Ivan Bergman, grandson-in-law Dave Bergman, siblings and in-laws Rosella Hogenkamp, Nick P. Hogenkamp, & second husband Paul Mehmert, Maurice & Julia Vallo, Velma & Harold Frierott, Melvin & Florence Vallo, Connie & Julian "Bud" Meyer, Myrle & Betty Vallo, Viola & Gerald Shenk, Clarence & Henrietta Meyer, Evelyn & Maurice Schulte, Norbert & Wilma Meyer, Arthur & Edna Meyer, Paul & Audrey Meyer, and Adelle & Stan Bernard.
She graduated from Minster High School, Class of 1944. After graduation she was employed as a secretary at Autokraft Box Corporation in Minster, a past volunteer at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, and a lifelong homemaker. Audrey was a member of St. Augustine Church, loved playing cards, especially bridge, belonged to several bridge groups and was a past President and Secretary of the local Bridge Marathon Group. Audrey enjoyed her time with friends, going on golf trips, vacations, and spending winter months in Florida.
Her greatest love was spending time with her family especially on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter where she would welcome the entire family into her home, including all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren, to celebrate the holidays with a meal and her delicious carrot cake for dessert. Audrey was a huge supporter of her grandchildren's activities such as band concerts, and sporting events.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2026 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster with burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
