Barbara Stucke
Barbara Marie Stucke, age 58, of Cincinnati, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Barbara was born on April 21, 1967, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Ernest James and Rita Ann (Fortkamp) Zehringer. Barbara "Barb" will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and genuine love for people. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, never meeting a stranger - only friends she hadn't talked to yet. Her laughter, generosity, and easygoing spirit brightened every room and left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Barb grew up in Fort Recovery, Ohio, surrounded by the love and energy of a large family with thirteen siblings. Growing up in such a big family helped shape her deep love for people, connection, and community. She carried that with her throughout her life, cherishing time with loved ones and forming friendships wherever she went.
On July 10, 1993, Barb married the love of her life, Christopher Stucke. Together they moved to Cincinnati and built a life centered on family. Barb loved Chris deeply and cared for him with remarkable devotion throughout his own battle with cancer.
Barb especially cherished time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed hosting gatherings, sharing meals, and creating moments where people could come together. She also loved music and played the clarinet during her high school years.
She earned an associate degree in medical transcription and held several roles throughout her life, including positions at St. Ann's Hospital, Procter & Gamble, and creating wine gift baskets. Still, the role she valued most was being a wife and mother. Barb took great pride in caring for her home and was a devoted mother to her two children, Henry and Olivia, whose lives were shaped by her constant love and encouragement.
She is survived by her son, Henry Stucke and his fiancé, Allison Wells, and her daughter, Olivia Stucke and her fiancé, Justin Bley, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; her siblings: Jim (Sharon) Zehringer of Naples, Florida; Theresa (AJ) Bisel of Sidney, Ohio; Margaret (Mike) Tobe of Celina, Ohio; Chuck (Lynn) Zehringer of Celina, Ohio; Nancy (Dean) Darland of Cape Coral, Florida; Jane (Jim) Rammel of Fort Recovery, Ohio; and Dr. Dan Zehringer (Justin) of Dayton, Ohio; her sisters-in-law: Sue Zehringer of Phoenix, Arizona; Linda (Paul) Cupito of Fort Recovery, Ohio; Tonia Zehringer of Union City, Ohio; and Saundra (Rick) Davis of Dunkirk, Indiana; as well as many extended family members and close friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Stucke; her brothers, Paul Zehringer, Joe Zehringer, Gary Zehringer, and Ray Zehringer; and her sisters, Mary (Frank) Gibson and Linda (John) Ridgway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Spring Grove Funeral Home-Norman Chapel, 4389 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45223. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
Those wishing to express sympathy may consider contributions to Hospice of Cincinnati.
