1 killed in 1-car crash on SR 219

CELINA - A 41-year-old Celina woman died Saturday night after reportedly driving her vehicle off of a roadway and into a tree.
In a news release, Mercer County Sheriff Doug Timmerman said central dispatch received a call at 9:50 p.m. Saturday about a single-vehicle accident that occurred at State Route 219 at Hillside Court in Franklin Township.
An investigation revealed that Jillian Geyer was driving a 2011 Mercury northbound on State Route 219 when she traveled left of center and off the west side of the roadway for an unknown reason, striking a tree.
Geyer was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
Assisting at the scene were the Montezuma Fire Department, Mercer County Emergency Medical Service's Coldwater branch and Mercer County Coroner Dr. Alyssa Tobe.

The crash remains under investigation, and per standard protocol will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
