The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Leroy Keith
Leroy Scott Keith, 74, of St. Marys, OH died 8:20 p.m. Saturday April 4, 2026 at JTDM Hospital in St. Marys. He was born April 25, 1951 in Lima, OH to Floyd S. and Helen S. (Kendall) Keith. On January 30, 2009 in St. Marys, OH he married Karen M. Henning, who survives.
Also survived by: son Adam Keith of Boston, MA; step-daughter Emily (Brian) Wise of Englewood, OH; step-daughter Sara Storer of Celina, OH; 10 grandchildren: Gentry Keith, Pierson Keith, Isaac Keith, Leah Keith, Tyler Wise, Aaron Wise, Jaden Heitkamp, Tristin Storer, Brayden Storer, Madison Storer; 1 great-granddaughter Alaya; brother Floyd (Nicole) Keith, Jr. of Ft. Wayne, IN; and brother Burton (Mona) Goens of Pleasant Hill, OH.
Preceded in death by: parents Floyd and Helen Keith, Sr; son Craig Keith (08/14/2023); brother Marshall "Marty" (Bonnie) Goens
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1970) and attended Lima Technical College.
A machinist by trade, he worked at area manufacturing facilities, including CROWN Equipment Corp.
His favorite pastimes included riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, woodworking, photography and taking meticulous care of his lawn. He also enjoyed his canine companions.
Private family services will be held.
