Skies were bright with sunshine and sidewalks were filled with locals, visitors and bargains Saturday for Rockford's Spring Fling, a full day of activities and shopping dedicated to celebrating spring, community spirit and local collaboration. Hosted by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce, the day kicked off with the Rockford Fire Department's Pancake Day and a 5K and fun run, with kids' activities, vendors, giveaways, music and food rounding out the fun. Train rides and a car show were among the popular attractions.
