Marietta Oakman
Marietta "Mary" Oakman, age 86, of Celina, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at Grande Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys.
She was born January 3, 1940, in Canada, Kentucky, to the late Paris & Opal (Williamson) Mullins.
Mary is survived by her daughters: Cheryl (Paul) Quigley and Lisa (Steve) Piper of Celina; step-daughter: Darnita Johnson of Celina; brothers & sisters: Geri Watt, Sharon (Roy) Orick, and Danny (Kathy) Mullins of Celina; Charles (Carol) Mullins of Deltona, Florida; Sonny (Liz) Mullins of Celina; Angie (Tom) Wicker of Saint Marys; and Rhonda Caudill, Sherri (Scott) Feister, and Randy Mullins of Celina.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Travis (Joey) Quigley, Marisa (Shawn) Henline who assisted with caring for Mary, Felicia Quigley, Kayla (Brad) Kelly, Amber (Dave) Nagel, A.J. (Paige) Piper, Kara (Dalton) Williams, Kellie (Junior) Mejia, Beth (Kevin Dawson) Piper, Nick (Mackenzie) Piper, Daniel Martin, Trevor Mallow, and Scott Mallow; 26 great grandchildren with 2 more expected in the near future; numerous nieces & nephews; as well as a close friend: Carol Longsworth of Celina.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Billy (Gladys) Mullins; great-grandson: Jaydan Joseph Quigley; brother-in-law: Jim Watt; and sister-in-law: Garnet Mullins.
Mary had worked as a convenience store clerk, laundromat attendant, and housekeeper, and also sold Avon products.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Celina, and taught Sunday School there. Faith and Family were the cornerstones of Mary's life, and she was focused on helping others find Jesus.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 18, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Bud Walls, officiating.
Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling Hours are from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, at the Funeral Home.
