Alfrieda R. "Fritz" Albers age 94, of Maria Stein, Ohio died on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio.

She was born on August 6, 1932 in Maria Stein to the late Albert & Bernadina (Wendeln) Hausfeld. She married Donald Albers on April 23, 1960 at St. John the Baptist Church, Maria Stein. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2005.

She is survived by her children: David & Jenny Albers, Maria Stein, Nancy Albers and her husband Bill Phillips, Parrish, FL, 4 grandchildren Courtney & Jason Westgerdes, Derek & Jess Albers, Max Albers, Chandler & Luke Jokerst, 4 great grandchildren: Bentley, Kinley, Jax & Thomas, brother Tony Hausfeld, Ft. Wayne, IN.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Walter Hausfeld, Cyril Hausfeld, Mary Ann & Charles Depweg, Jerry & Mary Ann Hausfeld, infant sister Rose Hausfeld, sister-in-law Cathy Hausfeld.

Fritz was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, the choir and the ladies sodality of the church. She was a member of the Knights of St. John Auxitliary and the Legion Auxiliary. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Schwieterman's Office. She enjoyed baking cookies, gardening vegetables and flowers, eating ice cream, Cincinnati Reds and a Marion Local sports fanatic. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM and on Wednesday, August 26 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
