Carrie Jo Taipalus Heck, 56, died Aug. 27, 2026, at her home near Rockford.

A celebration of life is 4 p.m. Saturday at the Celina Bethany Church, the Rev. Josh Tissot officiating. A dinner will be provided at the church immediately following the service, and everyone attending is invited to share a meal with the family.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in memory of Heck's struggle with stage four pancreatic cancer.
