Dennis James Brockman, known to many as Dennis Brockman, age 65, of Celina, Oh, passed away on September 18, 2026, at The Waters of Gainesboro in Gainesboro, Tn.

He was born on February 21, 1961, in Portland, In, to parents, Sylvin Brockman and Teresa Huelskamp. He lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a genuine appreciation for the simple joys that made each day meaningful.

Dennis spent much of his life on the open road as a long-haul truck driver, a profession that reflected his steady nature, strong work ethic, and independent spirit. He took pride in doing his job well and in carrying himself with the kind of dependability that others could count on. Whether he was traveling for work or enjoying time at home, Dennis approached life with a practical heart and a thoughtful mind. Those who knew him will remember him as a friendly, adventurous, and thoughtful man who valued honesty, loyalty, and time spent with the people he loved.

He found happiness in the quiet and familiar moments of life. Dennis loved fishing, driving, and sitting on the porch while enjoying the outdoors. He took great pride in his yard and was meticulous in caring for it, always finding satisfaction in keeping things neat and well tended. Above all, Dennis was a proud grandpa, and his grandchildren brought him immense joy. His love extended warmly and generously to those around him, and he had a special way of making others feel valued and remembered.

Dennis leaves behind his daughters: Tasha (Matt) Otte of Gainesboro, Tn, and Danelle Mullins of Celina, Oh; brothers: Ed (Becky) Brockman of Indiana, Roger (Cindy) Brockman of Ohio, Jerry Brockman of Ohio, and John (Barb) Brockman of Ohio; sisters: Rosie (Don) Bertke of Ohio, Hilda Evans of Ohio, Joan (Randy) Sutton of Oh, and Marilyn Brockman of Oh. He is survived by his grandchildren: Matt (Courtney Allosada) Otte of Gainesboro, TN, Jacob Otte of Gainesboro, TN, Luke Otte of Gainesboro, TN, Dameion Hines of Oh, Randy Joe Hines of Oh, Jackson Hines of Oh, and Hudzen Hines of Oh. He is further survived by his life-long partner and the mother of his children, Dorothy Alexander of Celina, Oh; his mother-in-law, Mary Alexander of Celina, Oh; brother-in-law: Paul Alexander of Ohio; and his long-time friend: Joe Elkins of Michigan. Numerous other relatives and friends survive. Dennis was blessed with a large family and many close relationships, and he will be remembered with love by all who knew him.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Mary Elaine Brockman of Oh, his brother-in-law Ernie Evans of Oh, and his brother-in-law Dale Oakes. Their memory remained a part of his life, and he now joins them in eternal rest.

His family and friends will remember Dennis for the kindness he showed, the adventures he embraced, and the thoughtful way he carried himself through life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. Though he is no longer present in body, the warmth of his presence, the sound of his laughter, and the strength of his character will not be forgotten.

Dennis made the decision to be cremated and his family will be honoring his last wish.
