Fort Recovery has officially fallen into fall and the scarecrows are taking over the town. Local businesses and community members showed off their creativity with everything from classic scarecrows to elaborate displays for the annual Fort Recovery Merchant's Association's Fall in the Fort Scarecrow Stroll. Residents can stroll downtown, check out the creations and vote for their favorite through Oct. 24 by scanning a QR code on the scarecrow sign or by picking up a paper ballot at the Fort Recovery Public Library. The winner will be announced at the Halloween parade Oct. 25 and prizes will be given out to first, second and third place. Pictured is a Dolly Parton scarecrow by Sunshine and Salty.
