Former Mercer County
area resident Wayne H. Holleman, 78, of Armour, S.D., died Nov. 26, 2003, at
Douglas County Memorial Hospital in Armour.
He was born May 10,
1925, in Springfield, S.D., to Urban and Claice Monfore Holleman.
Surviving are a son,
Wayne Jr. (Linda) of Shepherdsville, Ky.; a daughter, Roxanna (Larry) Craft,
Sandusky; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Springfield
High School in Springfield, S.D., and from the St. Louis College of Mortuary
Science in St. Louis, Mo., in 1947. He owned businesses in Missouri and Ohio
and served as a pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Services are 10:30
a.m. Monday at Koehn Brothers Funeral Home in Armour. Burial will follow at
Springfield Cemetery.
Calling is 5-7 p.m.
Nov. 30 at the funeral home.

Doris Jean
Imwalle, 71, of Newport, died Nov. 27, 2003, at Wilson Memorial Hospital
in Sidney.
Funeral Mass

in Newport.

Simon ìSamî
D. Neuenschwander, 77, of Van Wert, died at 9:05 a.m. Nov. 27, 2003, at
Vancrest Nursing Home, Van Wert.
He was born
Dec. 11, 1925, in Adams County, to David P. and Katherine L. Amstutz Neuenschwander.
On June 29, 1947, he married Esther R. Liechty who died in 1981. On Feb.
12, 1983, he married Doris Worthington who survives. Also surviving are
four daughters, Susan Kaye (David) Wulliman, Berne, Ind., Ann Marie (James)
Zollinger and Denise Arlene (Dan) Duvall, all of Fort Wayne, Ind., and
Jo Elaine (Eldon) Williams, Celina; three stepsons, Robert (Patricia) Worthington,
Wyoming, Larry (Mary) Worthington, Conover, and Freddie (Brenda) Worthington,
Springborol; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren
and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
Other survivors
include five brothers, Philip D., Alvin D., William D., Paul D. and Howard
D., all of Berne; and three sisters, Lydia (Joel) Neuenschwander and Laura
(Omer) Sprunger, all of Berne, and Maryann (Roger) Beer, Linn Grove.
Deceased are
three brothers, David, Vilas and Daniel, and a sister, Caroline.
He formerly
owned Berne Equity Meat Market and then owned and operated Rockford Locker
Service for 25 years. He was a farmer and part-time groundskeeper at Utgard
Farms in Van Wert. He also assisted with publication of The Photo Star
in Willshire for six years.
He was a member
of First Mennonite Church in Berne and served as a volunteer during World
War II.
Services are
1:30 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Craig Maven and Marie Nussbaum
officiating. Burial will follow at M.R.E. Cemetery, Berne.
Calling is
2-9 p.m. Sunday and 9-11 a.m. Monday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home,
Berne, and after noon Monday at the church.

Stella E.
Schoenlein, 97, formerly of North Frankfort Street, Minster, died Nov.
28, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. She had lived at
Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster the past two-and-a-half years.
She was born
May 30, 1906, in Maria Stein, to Henry and Carolina Mescher Heitkamp. On
April 22, 1930, she married Urban Schoenlein, who died Nov. 29, 1992.
She was the
last surviving member of her family.
Deceased are
five brothers and two sisters.
She was a
homemaker and had worked at the Minster Canning Factory. She was a member
of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster.
Funeral Mass
is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial
will follow in the church cemetery.

2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.

Dale R. Harter,
78, of Celina, died at 3:55 p.m. Nov. 26, 2003, at The Laurels of Shane
Hill, Rockford.
He was born
Dec. 31, 1924, in Greenville, to Ernest and Elizabeth M. Kershner Harter.
On July 12, 1945, he married Betty Miesse who survives.
Also surviving
are three sons, Tim (Barb) of Celina, Steve (Linda) of Van Wert, and Ted
(Becky) of Bristol, Ind.; a daughter, Sue (Dan) Steinbrunner, Celina; a
sister, Millie Dunham, Union City; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are
five brothers, Jim, Ray, Charles, Gene and Abe, and two sisters, Wilma
Heppeard and Nina Chaney.
He retired
from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and worked for many years
as a registered umpire for boys baseball and girls softball. He was a member
of First Presbyterian Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American
Legion posts, all of Celina, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, St. Marys.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a prisoner of war.
Services are
10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Stephen Merold officiating. Burial
will follow at North Grove Cemetery.

4-8 p.m. today at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and after 9 a.m. Saturday
at the church.

Richard F.
Overman, 84, 2074 Jefferson St., Maria Stein, died at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 26,
2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
He was born
March 23, 1919, in Maria Stein, to Louis and Rosina Rolfes Overman. On
May 29, 1948, he married Alma Bernard who survives.
Also surviving
are a son, Mike (Rhonda) of Celina; four brothers, Otmar (Joan), Cyril
(Betty) and Louis (Joan), all of Maria Stein, and Linus (Alma) of Dayton;
three sisters, Alvina (Ben) Hemmelgarn, Minster, Dorothy (Norbert) Gerlach,
St. Henry, and Marilyn (Bill) Braun, Columbus; and two grandchildren.
A sister,
Viola Dippold, is deceased.
He retired
as an electrician at Gagel Hardware in Maria Stein. He was a member of
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Menís Society of the church and
American Legion Post 571, all of Maria Stein. He served in the U.S. Army
Corps during World War II.

military rites.

She was born
Dec. 20, 1940, in Dayton, to Robert and Catherine Kisner Liddy. On April
14, 1964, she married Jack Schenking who survives.
Also surviving
are two sons, Mark (Kelani) of St. Anthony and Daniel of St. Marys; a daughter,
Karen (Sean) Gagne, Renton, Wash.; a brother, John (Gail) Liddy of Tennessee;
a sister, Marilyn (Bob) Caporal, Dayton; and four grandchildren.
She was self-employed
as a massage therapist. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
Coldwater, and a volunteer with State of the Heart Home Health & Hospice.

resident, died Nov. 22, 2003, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born
Feb. 1, 1908, in St. Marys, to John and Carrie Havenar Makley. In 1925,
she married Harold Minkner who died in 1930. In 1934, she married Elmer
Rohr who died in 1961.
Surviving
are a son, James of Chickasaw; a daughter, Margaret Reineke, Bellevue,
Fla.; a sister, Margaret Makley, Monterey Park, Calif.; 14 grandchildren
and numerous great- and great-grandchildren.
Deceased are
two sons, Marvin and Paul Minkner; two daughters, Mary Jane Rohr and Mary
Ann Bost; two sisters, Bea Rutledge and Henrietta Sweigart.
She retired
as a cook from the former St. Marys Nursing Home. She was a member of Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.

died Nov. 24, 2003, at her sisterís home in New Carlisle.
She was born
Nov. 16, 1926, to George and Bertha Platfoot. On Nov. 29, 1947, she married
Robert R. Scheer who died in 2001.
Surviving
are a son, Randy (Cheri) of New Bremen; three daughters, Nancy of Coldwater,
Vicki Schaffer, Celina, and Toni Stone, McGuffey; two brothers, Norbert
Platfoot, Sidney, and Norman Platfoot, Anna; three sisters, Irene Heeter,
New Carlisle, Sally Ware, Lakeview, and Lucille Scheer, Minster; four grandchildren
and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are
four brothers, Raymond, Herbert, Robert and Orville Platfoot; and four
sisters, Isabelle and Mary Platfoot, Agnus Cloppert and Jeanette Billing.
She was retired
from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a member of the Veterans
of Foreign Wars, both of St. Marys.
A private
memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 9127 Bellefountaine
Road, New Carlisle.

28, 1950, he married Norma J. Norris who survives.

three sisters, Marian (Deacon Carl) Franzer, Maria Stein, Wilma (Todd)

Mary Catherine Wolters, Mesa, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Lucy Budde, Cincinnati;
and five grandchildren.

He had been
a Mercer County Sheriffís deputy and retired from Mersman Furniture in
1987. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina,
and served with the U.S. Army in Italy and North Africa during World War
II.

On Nov. 28, 1959, he married E. Ann Feister and she survives.

He had been
a supervisor at Ford Motor Co. in Lima, where he worked for 35 years. He
was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church,

Association.

Celina; five daughters, Deanna (Larry) Riesen, Fort Wayne, Ind., Judy (Michael)

(Mark) Davis, Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Joan (Don) Knerr, Payne; seven
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are
three brothers, Forest Hubert, Wilson J. and Robert Lloyd, and four sisters,
Mary B. McNeal, Martha Elizabeth Ricketts, Mildred May Mayers and Agnes
Moring.
He worked
in the engineering department at Avco New Idea in Coldwater for 30 years.
A 1934 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School, he served with the U.S.
Army in Europe during World War II. He attended St. Paulís United Methodist
Church, Celina.

62, 116 Home Ave., Celina, died at 3:30 a.m. Nov. 21, 2003, at Lima Memorial
Hospital. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born
Nov. 9, 1941, in Celina, to John D. and Donna Delores Martz Fetters. On
Nov. 26, 1965, he married Marjorie A. Drake. His mother, his stepmother
Helen Fetters and his wife all survive in Celina.
Other survivors
are two daughters, Tess D. (Gary) Glass, Celina, and Debora J. (Stephen)
Shaffer, Lima; two sisters, Delores Elaine Boone, Dickson, Tenn., and Diane
and Walt Abels, Florida; two stepsisters, Susie (Jack) Severns, Mendon,
and Shirley Orr of Florida; two grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and
three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased is
a brother, John Keith.
He was appointed
a patrolman with the Celina Police Department April 6, 1968, and named
assistant chief Jan. 13, 1979. He retired from the department Oct. 30,
1993, after 30 years of service. A 1959 graduate of Celina High School,
he was a member of the Mercer County Sportsman Club and Celina First Church
of God.

10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Revs. Bruce Strine and Richard VanHorn
officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

She was born
Dec. 17, 1934, in Winchester, Ind., to Jordean and Irene Denny Benoot.
She was married to Oran Elmer Hight and later to Frank J. Koesters, both
of whom are deceased.
Surviving
are a daughter, Dianna (Fred) Gilroy, Wapakoneta; a grandson and a great-grandson.
Two brothers,
Andrew and John Benoot, and a sister, Jenny Moore, are deceased.
She retired
in 1989 as a test board operator from United Telephone Co., where she had
worked 22 years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg,
and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 691, Wapakoneta.

Jan. 20, 1940, he married Libby Havlicek who died April 23, 2002.
Surviving
are a son, Johnny J. of Celina; two daughters, Carol E. (Stephen) Cico,
Celina, and Mary Anna (Ronald) Weitz, Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Deceased are
an infant son, four brothers, Mike, Jim, Nick and Joe; and a sister, Mary
Avery.
He retired
in 1976 from Lima Locomotive/Clark Equipment where he had worked 34 years
as a welder. He also was a farmer, the last charter member of St. Teresaís
Catholic Church in Rockford and the oldest member of the Ohio Landing Ship
Tank Association. He also was a member of Rockford American Legion Post
508 and U.S. LST Association.

Home in Lima.
He was born
March 13, 1927, in Lima, to Paul F. and Romaine M. Eilerman Schimpf. On
Nov. 8, 1952, he married Dolores M. Ohr who died March 1, 2002.
Surviving
are two sons, Thomas F. (Terry) of North Richland Hills, Texas, and David
R. of Irving, Texas; four daughters, Paula C. (Rob) Richardson, Spencerville,
Gail E. (William) Lewis, Westerville, Barbara R. (Robert) Gupton, McKinney,
Texas, and Christina M., of Hilliard; two brothers, James L. (Joan) and
Carl E. (Betty), both of Lima; three sisters, Mary Lou (Thomas) Brennan,
Massilon, and Betty Kay (William) Davisson and Janet M., all of Lima; two
sisters-in-law, Ruth Schimpf and Blanche Hummel, also of Lima; 11 grandchildren
and a great-grandchild.
Three brothers,
William, Donald and David, are deceased.
He retired
as a meat cutter for A to Z Meats in Bluffton in 2002. He also worked as
meat manager at A & P Grocery for 33 years. He was a member of St.
Rose Catholic Church where he was an usher and coached CYO basketball for
15 years, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #54 and Knights of
Columbus Council 2661, all of Lima. A 1954 graduate of St. Gerard High
School, he was a former member of St. Rose Catholic School Association.

Marys Memorial High School, he formerly served as vice president and president
of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767, St. Marys.

of Spencerville High School.

the University of Detroit and Bowling Green State University. He taught
grades 5-8 in Chickasaw from 1932 to 1942. He also was a lifelong member
and former CCD teacher at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, first
Cubmaster of Coldwater Cub Scout Pack 96, one of the founding fathers of
Coldwater Park and a former member of the school and park boards.

He was born
April 29, 1951, in Detroit, Mich., to Bruce and Dorothy Green. His mother
survives in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. On Aug. 18, 1969, he married Mary Giesige
who survives.

of a real estate appraisal firm in Florida. He served in the U.S. Marine

Williams, Cridersville.
He retired
from Reynolds and Reynolds in Dayton after 30 years of service and partnered
with Roberds Electronics teaching computer applications. He also owned
and operated MBS Consultants and was management information systems manager
at Repacorp Labels in Tipp City.
He was a member
of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipp City, where he was a member
of the Knights of Columbus and a former eucharistic minister. He was a
charter member and past president of the Tipp City Optimists and a member
of the Tipp City Jaycees. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam
War. He attended St. Joseph and Wapakoneta high schools and received an
accounting degree from Northwestern Business School in Lima and a computer
science degree from Sinclair Community College, Dayton. He also attended
Wright State University.

commander of New Bremen American Legion Post 241, and a member and past
president of both the New Bremen Senior Citizens and Woodman of the World
Camp 149. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

McLaughlin. On June 22, 1952, he married Cora May Cheeseman who survives.

he was the owner/operator of Cheeseman Sales and Service in Portland for
many years. He was a member of Blaine United Methodist Church, Portland
American Legion post 211 and the Odd Fellows Lodge. He served with the
U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954.

Robert J.
ìBobbyî Teeters, 38, 509 W. Bremen St., New Knoxville, formerly of St.
Marys, was found dead at his residence Nov. 2, 2003. Death was due to a
self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to funeral home reports.
He was born
April 5, 1965, in St. Marys, to Robert and Gayo Place Teeters. His mother
survives in Buckland.
Also surviving
are his fiancee, Carrie Waterman, New Knoxville; two sons, Brian of St.
Marys and Jeff of Cairo; a daughter, Nicole of St. Marys; two half brothers,
Shawn and Jason, both of Naples, Fla.; a half sister, Kendra of St. Marys;
and two grandsons.
His grandparents
are deceased.
He was employed
as a press operator at Stolle Corp. in Sidney.
Services are
10:30 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow
at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Leland B.
ìLeeî Young, 91, formerly of 404 W. Market St., Celina, died at 4:10 a.m.
Nov. 3, 2003, at Otterbein Retirement Community, St. Marys.
He was born
March 31, 1912, in Van Wert County, to Soloman and Emma Mace Young. On
March 25, 1938, he married Ruth Lura Goodnick who died Jan. 9, 2000.
Surviving
are a son, Gary (Carol) of Celina; a daughter, Joyce Toler, Celina; a sister-in-law,
Leota Young, Van Wert; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are
a son, Barry Dee; a brother, Forrest Young; two sisters, Cleo Green and
Berdinia Shaw; and a granddaughter.
He retired
from Celina Financial Corporation as an insurance inspector. He later was
manager of the former A & P Grocery in Celina and a Lima News carrier.
A graduate
of Union High School in Van Wert County and Fort Wayne Business College
in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church,
a former officer and trustee of the Mercer County Sportsmenís Association
and a member of Woodmen of the World. He formerly served as treasurer of
the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Celina.
Services are
2 p.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial
will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.

2-8 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, and after
1 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Alt
Rockford native
Adrian Leon Alt, 82, 1947 Mountain Gap Road, Richburg, S.C., died Nov.
2, 2003, at Springdale Healthcare in Camden, S.C.
He was born
April 23, 1921, in Rockford, to Adam and Maude Oliver Alt.
Surviving
with his wife, Norma C., are two sons, Daniel Kevin (Patricia) and John
Adrian (Rudy), all of Richburg; a daughter, Linda (Jerry) Berne, Charlotte,
N.C.; a sister, Gloria Hannefeld, Continental; and seven grandchildren.
He was a retired
dairy farmer and served as commissioner of the Chester County Soil and
Water Conservation District for 21 years. He was a member of Mount Dearborn
United Methodist Church, Great Falls, S.C., where he had served as chairman
of the board and a Sunday School teacher. A Celina High School graduate,
he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and received a Purple Heart.
Services are
11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Sandra Hatchell and Carlisle
Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Richburg.

6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, Great Falls.

Bollenbacher
Ovada V. Bollenbacher,
90, 425 W. Fayette St., Celina, died at 10:01 a.m. Nov. 2, 2003, at Laurels
of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born
July 25, 1913, in Coldwater, to Charles and Flora Buck Andrew. On Oct.
29, 1937, she married Floyd Bollenbacher who died June 1, 1996.
Surviving
are a daughter, Jane (Larry) Ford, Rockford; two grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
Deceased are
a brother, Glen Andrew, and two sisters, Mildred Hamilton and Arvesta Martz.
She retired
as a cafeteria worker from the Celina City Schools and was a member of
St. Paulís United Methodist Church in Celina.
Services are
10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina. Burial will follow
at Mercer Memory Gardens.

Clarence E.
ìJackî Donovan, 83, 9139 U.S. 127, Celina, died at 11:31 p.m. Nov. 1, 2003,
at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He
was born July 7, 1920, in Mercer County, to Charles Sr. and Trecia Alexander
Donovan. On June 22, 1940, he married Evelyn L. Strabel who survives.
Also surviving
are two sons, James (Elaine) of Cecil and Daniel (Janet) of Mendon; five
daughters, Patricia (Leon) Reynolds, Brunswick, Carol (Lester) Etzler,
Willshire, Kathleen (Robert) Schwartz, Decatur, Ind., Joann (Michael) Valentine,
Rockford, and Cindy (Steve) Bronson, Warrenton, Va.; three sisters, Ruth
Chaney, Mendon, Marie Howell, Celina, and Mary French, Coldwater; two sisters-in-law,
Elsie Heindel, Celina, and Pauline Donovan, St. Marys; 16 grandchildren,
14 great-grandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are
five brothers, Floyd, Ralph, Charles Jr., Paul and Dale.
He retired
as a foreman at New Idea, Coldwater, after 42 years of service and served
with the U.S. Armyís 110th Mountain Division during World War II. He was
a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post, all
of Celina, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5135, Coldwater.
Services are
10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Tom Arheit
officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paulís Lutheran Cemetery, Celina.

ìVesî Dues, 83, Philothea Road, Coldwater, died at 3:42 p.m. Nov. 2, 2003,
at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born
March 5, 1920, in Philothea, to John and Catherine Evers Dues. On Oct.
25, 1944, he married Wilma Lange who survives.
Also surviving
are four sons, Henry (Rose) and Sam (Cindy), all of Philothea, Marvin of
Rossburg, and Nick of Placitas, N.M.; six daughters, Jane (Tom) Laux, Bernie
(Ron) Gross, Lucy (Dave) Rindler and Marie (Don) Weitzel, all of St. Henry,
Doris (Lavaughn) Muhlenkamp, Trinity, Ind., and Sandy Grieshop, Celina;
27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are
two brothers, Roman and Clarence; a sister, Mary Dillhoff; and a grandchild.
He was a farmer
and a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the Menís Holy Name Society,
both of Philothea, and the Mercer County Farm Bureau.

88, of Wapakoneta, died Nov. 2, 2003, at her residence.
She was born
Feb. 13, 1915, in Harrod, to Frank E. and Cecile F. Rambo Tabler. On May
1, 1954, she married Roger K. Herbst who died Nov. 3, 1994.
Surviving
are a daughter, Karen (Carl) Jones, Wapakoneta; 11 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren.
A daughter,
Betty Boyer, is deceased.
She was co-owner
of Koneta Cleaners.

Beulah Boshers
Beulah Mae Boshers, 87, of Otterbein
St. Marys Retirement Community, St. Marys, died Oct. 31, 2003, at Miami
Valley Hospital, Dayton.
She was born April 29, 1916, in
Athens, Tenn., to Jake and Charity Tennal Franks. On Sept. 24, 1938, she
married Ernest Boshers, who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1984.
Surviving is a son, William (Gloria)
of Cincinnati; a daughter, Wilma (Stephen) Erickson, Dayton; two sisters,
Ethel Manard, Xenia, and Frances Deford McClelland, Tellico Plains, Tenn.;
and five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a step-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by three
brothers, Clarence, Jesse and Archie Franks.
She was known in the professional
wrestling field as Bounciní Beulah Boshers. She gained notoriety in the
1950s as a promoter of professional wrestling on WDTN Channel 2, Dayton.
She retired from the Canteen Corp.,
Dayton, after 38 years of service as a manager. She was a member of the
Reed Springs Baptist Church, Sweetwater, Tenn., and was a member of the
Order of Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge.
Services and burial will be held
at 11 a.m. Nov. 4 at the Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park Chapel in Sweetwater.
Calling begins at 10 a.m. Nov. 4.

Esther Yahl
Esther B. Yahl, 74, formerly of
644 E. South St., St. Marys, died at 1:58 a.m. Oct. 31, 2003, at Joint
Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Sidney
to Henry and Theresa Schneider Behr. On Aug. 28, 1950, she married Jerome
J. Yahl, who died May 30, 1989.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara
(Bernard) Poeppelman, McCartyville, Dorothy (Doug) Custenborder, Greenville,
and Rita (Michael) Daughtery, St. Marys; three brothers, Clarence Behr,
Botkins, Wilbur Behr, Fryburg, and Albert Behr, Los Angeles, Calif.; a
sister, Adelma Siefring, Burkettsville; and six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by an
infant.
She was a retired employee of Valley
Nursing Home, St. Marys, and also had worked at the former Buchananís Department
Store in St. Marys. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and
its Altar Sodality.
Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday
at the church, the Rev. Leo Hoying officating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane
Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday
at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
