Daniel Beckstedt
 Daniel Lee Beckstedt, 51, 1509 Westbury Drive, Celina, died at 1:20 p.m. Dec. 29, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. Death was due to natural causes.
 He was born March 18, 1952, in Celina, to Ralph and Marge Klopfleisch Beckstedt. They survive in Celina. On June 29, 1974, he married Luanne Louise Barber who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Ryan (Jodi) of Sommerset and Eric of Lewis Center; a brother, Gary (Kim) of Celina; a sister, Becky (Dennis) Rolfes, Celina; and his mother-in-law, Henrietta Barber, St. Marys.
 Deceased are a sister, Peggy, and his father-in-law, Harry Barber.
 He was employed as a press operator at Pax Machine, Celina. A 1970 graduate of Celina High School, he was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Sons of American Legion Post 210 and the Loyal Order of Moose 1473, all of Celina.
 Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will be at North Grove Cemetery.
 Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

Grant Cook
 Grant J. Cook, 76, 532 E. Wayne St., Celina, died Dec. 30, 2003, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
 He was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Rockford, to Grant Sr. and Lena Snyder Cook. On June 17, 1950, he married Betty Wehrkamp who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Douglas (Alice) and Steve (Sue), and a daughter, Sharon Reineke, all of Celina; five brothers, Carl (Dorothy) and Bob (Cinda), all of Celina, Don (Sharon) of Columbus, Ben (Kathy) of Napoleon, and Clark (Mary Alice) of Sidney; four sisters, Katie Crider and Elizabeth Frushour, both of Bowling Green, Sally (Jack) Conley, Dayton, and Becky (Dan) Dunbauld, Zionsville, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
 A son, Denny, is deceased.
 He retired as Celina postmaster and served eight years as Jefferson Township clerk. A 1944 graduate of Celina High School, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a life member of Knights of Columbus Council 1800, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 and American Legion Post 210, all of Celina. He also was past president of the Ohio Postmasters Association and a member of the Ohio Clerks Association, Ohio Township Association, the National Association of Postmasters and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
 Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
 Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.

Joseph Donnerberg
 Joseph Donnerberg, 72, 02234 Greenville Road, St. Marys, died at 5:23 p.m. Dec. 30, 2003, at St. Ritaís Medical Center, Lima.

R. Michael Loughridge
 Celina native R. Michael ìMikeî Loughridge, 49, 819 Key St., Houston, Texas, died at 11:25 a.m. Dec. 25, 2003, at St. Josephís Hospital, Houston. Death was due to cancer.
 He was born Sept. 10, 1954, in Celina, to Jerry and Ruth Pearson Loughridge. They survive in Celina.
 Also surviving are a brother, Patrick (Beth) of Norwalk, and a sister, Jeannie (Ron) Smalley, Celina.
 He worked in tool engineering at NextiraOne and formerly worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and Ford Motor Co., Lima. A 1972 graduate of Celina High School, he attended Wright State University for two years and was a member of St. Paulís United Methodist Church, Celina.
 Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial will be at North Grove Cemetery.
 Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.

Evelyn McCain
 Mendon native Evelyn M. McCain, 87, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Lima and Cridersville, died at 4:40 a.m. Dec. 29, 2003, at Sun Health Hospice, Peoria, Ariz.
 She was born March 24, 1916, in Mendon, to Charles and Clara Sowers Snyder. On Nov. 21, 1936, she married Lloyd A. McCain who died Sept. 12, 1991.
 Surviving are a son, Charles A. of Sun City; a daughter, Ann (David) Yoakam, Cridersville; a half brother, Dean Snyder, Celina; two half sisters, Floy Whetstone, St. Marys, and Kathryn Harner, Mendon; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a sister, Marie Bennett, and a half brother, Carl E. Snyder.
 She was a homemaker and the co-owner of McCain Industries, a recreational vehicle manufacturer.
 Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, the Rev. David Johns officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.

Warren Neely
 Warren Leslie Neely, 55, of Rockford, died at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 27, 2003, in Orient.
 He was born Feb. 17, 1948, in Akron, to Lloyd and Ruth Medley Neely. On June 9, 2002, he married Leola Bienz (Reedy) who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Chris, at home, and Timothy Paterson, address unknown; and four brothers, John of Kentucky, Lyle of Washington, Earl and Jeff, both of Florida.
 He was a nursing practitioner and a minister. He attended New Horizon Church, Rockford.
 Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Robert Loar officiating.

Victor Overman
 Victor H. Overman, 78, formerly of 681 Grove Lane, St. Marys, died at 7:50 p.m. Dec. 29, 2003, at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
 He was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Maria Stein, to William and Mary Jane Buening Overman. On Aug. 7, 1948, he married Margaret Dietz who died Nov. 24, 1989.
 Surviving are two sons, Victor (Barbara) and David (Eva), all of St. Marys; four daughters, Patricia Kiefer, Sandy Bechtol and Nancy Overman, all of St. Marys, and Sharon (Donald) White, Spokane, Wash.; two brothers, LeRoy of Fort Loramie, and Eugene (Mary Ann) of Minster; three sisters, Irene Lallemand, Dayton, Evelyn Eiting, Minster, and Joann (Walter) Vondenhuevel, New Bremen; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a son-in-law, Robert Kiefer; a brother, Edgar; and a grandchild.
 He retired from Minster Machine Co., where he had been a machinist for 41 years. He served with the U.S. Army as part of the Japan occupation forces and was a life member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, St. Marys. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, American Legion Post 323 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767, all of St. Marys, and the Minster Machine 25 Year Club.
 Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Leo Hoying officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.

Harley Sharp
 Harley T. ìTedî Sharp, 63, of Fairborn, died Dec. 29, 2003, at his residence.
 He was born June 16, 1940, to James and Elsie Sharp.
 Surviving with Helen M., his wife of 44 years, are three sons, Jim (Debbie) of Michigan, John (Debbie) of Huber Heights, and Gary (Michelle) of Celina; a daughter, Shelly (Kevin) Beculheimer, Fairborn; four sisters, Mary Alice Willis, Emily Louise Webb, Betty Jane Foust and Sue Cartwright; and nine grandchildren.
 He was a master craftsman in woodworking and a member of Teamsters Union Local 114.
 Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday at Morris Sons Funeral Home, Fairborn, the Rev. Charles Lang officiating. Burial will be at Fairfield Cemetery.

Michaela Thomas-Berry
 Celina native Michaela F. Thomas-Bery, 36, 1007 Stimple Road, Columbus, died around 11 a.m. Dec. 29, 2003, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Death was due to complications of kidney failure.
 She was born Sept, 26, 1967, in Celina. Her father, James E. Thomas, survives in Celina and her mother, Juanita Lopez, lives in Piqua. On Sept. 23, 1988, she married Darrell D. Berry who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Elijah B., 8, and two daughters, Ciara D., 17, and Olivia P., 11, all of Columbus; four brothers, James A. (Kathy) Thomas, Accokeek, Md., Patrick C. (Debbie) Thomas, Stewart, Jon P. (Becky) Thomas, Wadsworth, and Michael (Crystal) Thomas, Upper Marlboro, Md.; and five sisters, Pamela (James) Carr, Tina (Roy) Lichtieg, Mary (Matt) Fortkamp and Deliha (Corey) Kremer, all of Celina, and Becky (Paul) McMahon, Elkhart, Ind.
 Two sisters, Geraldine and Roxanne Thomas, died in infancy.
 She had worked at Godman & Guild and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbus.
 Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Msgr. Anthony Missimi officiating.
 Calling is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Southwick-Good & Fortkamp Funeral Home, Columbus. A 7 p.m. prayer service is planned.

Richard Daum
 Richard Daum, 79, formerly of 8250 Ohio 703, Celina, died at 6:10 a.m. Dec. 29, 2003, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
 He was born May 11, 1924, in Sidney, to Oswald and Edith Rhodes Daum.
 Surviving are a brother, Martin of Wapakoneta, and a sister-in-law, Irene Daum, St. Marys.
 Deceased are his stepmother, Marjorie Daum, and a brother, Robert.
 He had worked at Friends Office Supply in Wapakoneta and served in the U.S. Army in Africa and Italy during World War II. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Wapakoneta.
 Services are 2 p.m. today at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

Virginia Houts
 Virginia L. Houts, 70, 100 W. Spring St., St. Marys, died at 5 a.m. Dec. 29, 2003, in the emergency room at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
 She was born Sept. 14, 1933, in St. Marys, to Harry and Iva Reveale Houts.
 Surviving are two sons, Nick (Yvonne) of Celina and Chuck of St. Marys; two brothers, Richard (June) of Wapakoneta and Charles of St. Marys; and eight grandchildren.
 Deceased are two brothers, Orville and Vernon, and two sisters, Clara Neely and Sharon Thompson.
 She was a homemaker and a childcare provider.

Paul Caffee
 Mercer County native Paul Eugene Caffee, 87, 3039 East 900 South, Geneva, Ind., died at 12:40 p.m. Dec. 27, 2003, at Swiss Village Retirement Center, Berne, Ind.
 He was born July 15, 1916, in Mercer County, to John Howard and Caroline Miller Caffee. On Sept. 21, 1938, he married Deloris M. Branstetter who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Dennis (Rebecca) of Geneva and Robert L. (Margaret Sue) of Berne, Ind.; a daughter, Judith Kay (Philip) Baumgartner, Mansfield; a brother, Donald (Rosemary) of Willshire; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are two brothers, Dale and Vernon; a sister, Ferne Stetler; and a grandchild.
 He was engaged in farming in Mercer County and Adams County, Ind., prior to retirement and was a member of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association. He graduated from Willshire High School and was a member of Zion Luthern Church, Chattanooga.
 Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva, the Rev. Randy Swanson officiating. Burial will follow at M.R.E. Cemetery, Berne.

Shirley Goettemoeller
 Shirley M. Goettemoeller, 70, 1369 Ohio 705, Fort Loramie, died at 3 a.m. today, Dec. 29, 2003, at her residence.
 She was born Jan. 6, 1933, in Fort Loramie, to Clem and Ida Bruns Poeppelman. On April 18, 1953, she married Ivo Goettemoeller who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Russell (Rene) of Fort Loramie; three daughters, Debra (Kenneth) Ernst, Fort Loramie, Lynn (Charlie) Ognibene, Santa Anna, Calif., and Lori (Dale) Walker, Troy; six sisters, Delores (Vernon) Meyer, Betty (Vernon) Hoying and Edith Pleiman, all of Fort Loramie, Irma Hoying, Minster, Mary Lou (Ron) Oldiges, Beavercreek, and Joan (Bill) Schwieterman, Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Poeppelman, Egypt; and 14 grandchildren.
 A brother, Clem Poeppelman, is deceased.
 She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Annís Sodality and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, all of Fort Loramie, and the auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, Minster.

Edward Luebke
 Former Osgood resident Edward F. Luebke, 85, of Kettering, died Dec. 27, 2003, at Kettering Medical Center.
 He was born June 15, 1918, to Henry and Clara Overman Luebke.
 Surviving with his wife, Thelma, are two sons, John and James; two daughters, Carol (Harold) Coy and Kathleen; a brother, Herbert; two sisters, Eleanor Dininger and Mary Grieshop; and six grandchildren.
 He retired from General Motors after more than 30 years of service and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Kettering, the Moraine Senior Citizens and Osgood American Legion Post.
 Funeral Mass is noon Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.

Hilda Poeppelman
 Hilda J. Poeppelman, 90, formerly of 86 S. Lincoln St., Minster, died at 9:55 a.m. Dec. 28, 2003, at Watauga Medical Center, Boone, N.C.
 She was born July 1, 1913, in Fort Loramie, to August and Anna Poeppelman Rethman. On June 10, 1941, she married Wilbert Poeppelman who died March 17, 1986.
 Surviving are a daughter, Patricia (Edward Jr.) Pekarek, Boone, with whom she resided since December 2001; three sisters-in-law, Marie Rethman, Sidney, Fredonia Rethman, Versailles, and Frances Rethman, Fort Loramie; and three grandchildren.
 Six brothers and four sisters are deceased.
 She was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Monica Ladies Sodality and the auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, all of Minster.

Gertrude Tesno
 Gertrude H. Tesno, 85, Club Island Road, Celina, died at 7:19 p.m. Dec. 28, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
 She was born Aug. 28, 1918, in Dayton, to Albert and Amelia Zimmerman. Her husband, Russell Tesno, died July 14, 1991.
 Surviving are a son, James (Ann) of Celina; two daughters, Mary (Frederick) Drakesmith, St. Charles, Mo., and Barbara (Eric) Niederhoffer, St. Louis, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
 Deceased are four brothers, Louis, Joseph, Albert and William, and a sister, Margaret Lehman.
 She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Sodality, both of Montezuma.

 Rita M. Houts, 78, 131 Pershing St., Celina, died at 2:15 a.m. Dec. 26, 2003, at The Gardens at Celina.
 She was born June 8, 1925, in St. Marys, to John and Grace Howick Holtman. On June 22, 1946, she married Alfred S. Houts who died June 4, 1987.
 Surviving are two sons, Ronald (Betsy) and John (Roxanne), and a daughter, Patricia (Lavern) Balster, all of Celina; a brother, Raymond Holtman, Cleveland; a sister, Blanche Grillot, Celina; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are three brothers, George, Jerry and Thomas; five sisters, Catherine, Mildred, Lucille, Mary and Gertrude; and a grandchild.
 She retired from Mersman Brothers and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Altar-Rosary Society, Loyal Order of Moose, American Legion Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, all of Celina.

Richard Stallter
 Richard Stallter, 71, of Celina, died at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 24, 2003, at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, Fla.
 He was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Mendon, to Carl and Helen Margaret Dick Stallter. On June 15, 1952, he married Jacqualin Lou Vorhees who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Reggie E. (Connie) of Clarksville, Ind., and R. Keith (Jennifer) of Alpharetta, Ga.; a daughter, Lou Ann (Todd) Granger, Argyle, Texas; a brother, Robert E. (Connie) of Perrysburg; and eight grandchildren.
 He retired in 1991 as a design engineer at Kennedy Manufacturing, Van Wert, after 20 years of service. He also worked at Continental Can Company, Van Wert. A 1950 graduate of Rockford High School, he attended Ohio Northern University and Findlay College. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina, and a 32nd Degree Mason.
 Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at W. H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Donald I. Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Herman Hemmelgarn
 Herman W. Hemmelgarn, 94, 171 E. Washington St., St. Henry, died at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 24, 2003, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
 He was born Sept. 27, 1909, in St. Henry, to John and Mary Kothman Hemmelgarn. On April 14, 1934, he married Leona Bertke who died Feb. 9, 1988.
 Surviving are a son, Harold (Janice) of Centerville; a daughter, Marlene (Ernest) Kremer, New Bremen; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hemmelgarn, New Weston; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
 A brother, Raymond, is deceased.
 He retired from AVCO-New Idea, Coldwater, and was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Coldwater, and Naim of the North Catholic Widows & Widowers Club.

 She was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Mercer County, to James H. and Lula C. Hines Painter. On Jan. 23, 1940, she married Ernest F. Rasawehr who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Jerry R. (Catherine) of Mendon; two brothers, Fred (Wilma) Painter and Harold Dean Painter, all of Mendon; a sister-in-law, Elma Painter, Celina; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 A brother, Paul Painter, is deceased.

Richard Bernard
 Mercer County native Richard C. Bernard, 55, 215 W. 94th St., New York, N.Y., died Dec. 18, 2003, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
 He was born April 2, 1948, in Celina, to Cyril and Alvina Leugers Bernard. They survive in Maria Stein.
 Also surviving are two brothers, Tom (Loraine) and Don, both of Maria Stein; and a sister, Ann (Ron) Puthoff, Chickasaw.
 He owned Metro-Team in New York City. A 1965 graduate of Brunnerdale Seminary, he received a bachelorís degree in music and a masterís degree in philosophy from the University of Dayton. He also was a writer of philosophy.
 Memorial Mass is 10:30 a.m. Jan. 3 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

 She was born Oct. 1, 1914, in Mercer County, to Michael and Eleanor Westerheide Rosengarten. On May 4, 1940, she married Paul Ebbing who died Oct. 13, 1988.
 Surviving are three sons, Gary (Liz) of Lima, Dave (Janis) and Don (Diana), all of Coldwater; a daughter, Jan (Dan) Muhlenkamp, Celina; a brother, Louie (Erma) Rosengarten, Dayton; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
 She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.

 Bruehilde Wissman Hoel, 95, formerly of 626 N. Buckeye St., Celina, died Dec. 23, 2003, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
 She was born Dec. 6, 1908, in New Bremen, to Gustave and Ida Waterman Wissman. On June 14, 1938, she married Homer R. Hoel who died in February 1973.
 Surviving are a son, David H. of Celina; a brother, Carl (Janet) Wissman, St. Marys; and a granddaughter.
 A brother, Harold Wissman, is deceased.
 She began teaching in Celina in 1931 and taught first grade for 30 1/2 years. She also worked part time at the Mercer County Public Library for 10 years following retirement. She attended New Bremen Schools and the International Business College, in Fort Wayne, Ind., and later received a bachelor of science degree from Miami University, Oxford.
 She was a member of St. Paulís United Methodist Church, Celina, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Shakespeare Club, University Womenís Club, Ohio Retired Teachers Association and the Retired Teachers of Mercer County. She also was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society and a member and past worthy matron of the Celina Order of Eastern Star.
 Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Kathleen Hayes officiating. Burial will be at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.

 North Star native Carl Edward Kunk, 61, of Lumberton, Texas, died Nov. 24, 2003, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.

 He was born June 7, 1910, in Wells County, Ind., to George and Louella Walters Buel. His first wife, the former Louetta Mihm, is deceased. On June 3, 1938, he married Esther Jeanette Rhoades who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Rex (Ann) of Waynesboro, Va.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a son, Donald E.; two brothers, Howard and Charles; two sisters, Mary Beerbower and Irene Cotton; and two grandchildren.
 He had worked at Rockford Stone Co. He also worked at Celina Moving and Storage and the Department of Highways, drove bus in the Rockford School District and farmed. He was a member of New Horizons Community Church and a 50-year member of Gideons International.

 A graduate of Findlay University, she taught in one-room schoolhouses and later was a case worker at the Mercer County Welfare Department before retiring at the age of 75. She was a member of the Neptune Church of God, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a pianist, the Shakespeare Club, the Public Employees Retirement Association, Business & Professional Club and the West Ohio Livestock Exchange.
 A coffee open house celebrating her life will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Church of God, Celina.

 He formerly owned and operated Wolff Tires in Celina for 28 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Knights of Columbus, all of Celina, and Osgood American Legion Post. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

 He had been a longtime farmer in the Mendon area and served four years with the U.S. Air Force in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of Lima Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275.

 He was born Dec. 22, 1917, in Auglaize County, to Alonzo and Alvina Anders Rupert. On Oct. 30, 1954, he married Elaine Rampe who survives.

 Known as ìThe Blanket Man,î he was the owner of Ben Rupert Blankets and Luxury Blanket Corp. A 1935 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, he served with the U.S. Army and was the former commander of the 148th Infantry Battalion of the Ohio National Guard based in St. Marys.
 He was a member of St. Paulís United Church of Christ, St. Marys, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Americam Legion Post and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767, also of St. Marys.

 He was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Coldwater, to Albert and Christine Huwer Schockman. On May 27, 1946, he married Betty Vian who survives.
 Also surviving are four daughters, Carolyn L. Shaner, St. Henry, Gloria (Michael) Fortman and Joreen Gonzalez, all of Celina, and Janet (Michael) Kittle, Cridersville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a daughter, Candace Ann; four brothers, Walter, Carl, Clarence and Louis; and a sister, Pauline Geier.
 He formerly owned and operated Wolff Tires in Celina for 28 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Knights of Columbus, all of Celina, and Osgood American Legion Post. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

 Harold D. Seibert, 90, of Spencerville, died at 10:47 a.m. Dec. 20, 2003, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.
 He was born Aug. 24, 1913, in Auglaize County, to Daniel Gilbert and Melissa States Seibert. On Aug. 23, 1941, he married Gladys Arlene Barnes who died March 20, 1978.
 Surviving are two daughters, Carol Ann (John W.) Martin, Elida, and Janet Sue of Tallahassee, Fla.; four sisters, Carolyn Garwood, Celina, Retha Rohrbach, Lakeside, Vonda (Robert) Kohler and Norma (Lowell) Overholt, both of Spencerville; a sister-in-law, Lucille Seibert, St. Marys; two grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
 Deceased are two brothers, Clifford and Victor; two half brothers, Gilbert Seibert and Eldon Gaberdiel; and a half sister, Esther Gaberdiel.
 He was a farmer and a 1931 graduate of Spencerville High School. He was a member of Monticello United Brethren in Christ Church, where he had been a Sunday School teacher.
 Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, the Rev. Andrew Atkins officiating. Burial will be at Kossuth Cemetery near Spencerville.

 Richard Uhlenhake, 81, 845 Dorothy Lane, St. Marys, died Dec. 19, 2003, at St. Ritaís Medical Center, Lima.
 He was born Oct. 27, 1922, in St. Henry, to John and Josephine Braun Uhlenhake. On June 18, 1946, he married Lucille Noonan who survives.
 Also surviving are three sons, Brad (Caroline) of Omaha, Neb., Steve (Beverly) of Spencerville, and Dan (Beth) of St. Marys; a daughter, Mary Jo (Greg) Bireley, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Herman (Bea) of Celina; a sister, Delores (Joe) Kuhn, Celina; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
 One grandchild, three brothers and two sisters are deceased.
 He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and worked as an auto salesman at Baker Auto and Potbury Ford before working at Kerns Ford. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he served as an usher, American Legion Post 323 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767, all of St. Marys. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.   Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. David Heinl officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.

 Charles William Butcher, 56, 7097 Ohio 118, Celina, died at 2:32 p.m. Dec. 18, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital. An autopsy to determine cause of death was incomplete at press time.
 He was born June 16, 1947, in Celina, to Charles Edgar and Marjorie Jarrett Comer Butcher. His mother survives in Coldwater. On Oct. 19, 1969, he married Linda K. Smith who survives.
 Other survivors are a son, Jeff (Amy) of Celina; a sister, Pam (Tad) Rikard, Ohio City; and several nieces and nephews.
 He worked in the fabrication department of Braun Industries in Van Wert. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), both of Celina.
 Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. John Nunnally officiating. Burial with military honors by the VFW and American Legion post is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

 She was born Aug. 15, 1928, in Deerpark, Fla., to Jack and Thelma Oleda Lewis Carson. On April 17, 1947, she married Gabriel Nickolas Hromish who died July 22, 1999.
 Survivors are a son, Gabriel Nickolas Jr. of Celina; a daughter, Sarah Margaret of San Bernadino, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
 Deceased is a sister, Louise Chaney.
 She had worked at the former Mersman Furniture Co. in Celina and was a former census information gatherer. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary of Celina.

 James Dean Enyart, 34, 408 E. 4th St., Shelbyville, Ind., died at 10 a.m. Dec. 18, 2003, at his home. Death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
 He was born June 22, 1969, in Portland, Ind., to Donald C. and Eva L. Martin Enyart Dreiling. His mother and stepfather, Jerry J. Dreiling, survive in Mendon.
 Surviving are four brothers, Don R. (Anita), Ed W. (Beverly), Garry (Debi) and Robert (Letisha), all of Portland; and two sisters, Teresa L., of Delphos, and Amy L. Bash, of Celina.
 He was publications editor for WFYI Public Broadcasting Station Television, Indianapolis, Ind., for five years. He was a 1987 graduate of Jay County High School and a graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.

 He was born Feb. 13, 1956, in Fort Knox, Ky. His father, Francis Duane Erwin, survives in Greenville.
 Also surviving are a son, Justin, and a daughter, Casey, both of Greenville; a brother, David (Kathy) of Arcanum; a sister, Monica Buckingham, Green-ville; and a half brother, Kevin (Loraine) Miller, Atlanta, Ga.

 He was employed by the Darke County Commissioners and completed submarine service with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Loyal Order of Moose, all of Greenville.

 She worked as a sales clerk at Thornburg Drug Store in Warsaw, Ind., for 20 years.  Surviving are two sons, Keith (Beverly) of South Whitley, Ind., and Lowell E. of Celina; six daughters, Patricia (Bud) Noel and Connie S. (Toney J.) Kidwell, all of Celina, Peggy (John) Richardson, Durango, Colo., Jean (Keith) Eblen, Rockford, Toni (John) Mestemaker, North Star, and Maryl Sellner, St. Marys; a brother, George (Frances) of St. Marys; 35 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a son, Welcome Edwin; three brothers, Francis, Howard and Clarence; two sisters, Helen Winget and Mary Barger; and three great-granddaughters.
 He retired as a carpenter after 50 years of service and was affiliated with Grace Missionary Church, Celina.
 Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home with Harold Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens.

 Surviving are a brother, Wayne, and a sister, Nellie M. Morrical, both of Portland, Ind.
 She retired in 1967 from General Electric Company, Fort Wayne, Ind., and was a member of the West Walnut Street Church of Christ, Portland.

 Rockford native Mary Louise Becher Dixon, 73, 6440 Ashwood Drive, Columbus, Ga., died Dec, 14, 2003, in Columbus.
 She was born Aug. 5, 1930, in Rockford, to Albert W. and Mary Rebecca Becher. On Aug. 16, 1950, she married John C. Dixon who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, John C. III of Pensacola, Fla., and James A. (Kathleen) of Yuma, Ariz; two daughters, Teresa (Larry) Davis, Easton, Md., and Lillian R. (John) Chapman, Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, Donald Becher, Freemont, Ind.; a sister, Wilma Grace May, Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

 She was a homemaker until the age of 55, when she returned to school and obtained a registered nurseís diploma. She later worked at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga.

Robert Shipley Sr.
 Robert V. Shipley Sr., 78, 1913 Winston Drive, St. Marys, formerly of Mansfield, died at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 14, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
 He was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Cleveland, to Clyde and Grace Sanders Shipley. On Sept. 11, 1945, he married Shirley Crews who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Robert Jr. (Donna) of Galion; a daughter, Cheryl (Daniel) Macklem, St. Marys; a sister, Beverly Wenning, Mansfield; and three grandchildren.
 He retired as a chief petty officer from the U.S. Navy and later worked as a salesman for Duff Truck Lines and as a line switcher for Penn Central Railroad. He was a licensed private pilot, a 32nd Degree Mason and a Mansfield Senior High School graduate.

Elmer Wagner
 Elmer H. Wagner, 63, 502 Hendricks Ave., St. Marys, died at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 15, 2003, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
 He was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Auglaize County, to Elmer and Betty Fetter Wagner. On Feb. 18, 1961, he married Evelyn Engel who survives.

 He was born Nov. 10, 1946, in St. Marys, to Bernard and Estella Wendel Craft. On June 1, 1968, he married Rita K. Glass who died Aug. 8, 1997.
 Survivors are four sons, Robert (LeAnn) and Brad (Shannon), all of New Bremen, Greg (Rebecca) of Monroe, and Matthew (Mindy) of Springboro; a sister, Mary (Lee) Tebbe of St. Marys; five brothers, Victor (Mary) of Milford, Donald (Janet) and Kenneth (Judy), all of St. Marys, Melvin (LaDonna) of Montezuma and David (Louann) of Wapakoneta; a sister-in-law, Ruth of St. Marys; and five grandchildren.
 Deceased are a sister, MayEllen, and a brother, Carl.
 He was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer, New Bremen. He was a 1965 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He served in the U.S. Army, obtaining the rank of sergeant and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post 241 in New Bremen. He was employed as as a projects coordinator at Crown Equipment Corp. in New Bremen.

 Surviving are two sons, Michael and Sean, and a daughter, Kelly, at home with their mother, seven brothers, Rev. Larry Wyen, St. Henry, David (Jane), Plano, Texas, Dennis (Winnie), Troy, Theodore (Tina), Enon, James, Phillip (Diane), and Douglas, all of Minster; and four sisters, Kathy (Steve) Arshan, South Amboy, N.J., Vicki (Max) Cotterman, New Bremen, Carol (Rick) Hoffman, Moscow, and Mary Kay of Minster.
 He spent four years in the Army and worked at Bell Telephone in Columbus.

 Roy V. Rush, 83, 308 N. Defiance St., St. Marys, died at 1:54 p.m., Dec. 12, 2003 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
 He was born Oct. 3, 1920, in St. Marys Township, to LeRoy and Clara McAfee Rush. On Aug. 30, 1939, he married Ileen Blumenherst, who survives at the residence.
 He is also survived by two sons, Ted (Jeanne) and Raymond (Diann), both of St. Marys, a daughter, Sharon (John) Potter, of Miamisburg, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Donald, and a sister, Mary Gross.
 A United States Army veteran who served in World War II, he retired as a supervisor from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in St. Marys. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion post 323, both in St. Marys.
 Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, with the Rev. Ron Spurgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

 William J. Coan, 75, of Alamo, Texas, died at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 5, 2003, at his home. Death was due to a brain tumor.
 He was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Kenwood, Iowa, to James and Hulda Coan. His mother survives in Iowa. On Oct. 7, 1953, he married Mary Patricia who survives.
 Other survivors are three sons, Jim (Kristie) of Savage, Minn., Kevin (Sandy) of Omaha, Neb., and Dennis (Diane) of Minneapolis, Minn.; two daughters, Jean (Chris) Boise, Wilmington, and Deb (Dave) Blake, Celina; a sister, Helen (John) Christenson, Fremont, Neb.; a sister-in-law, Ann of Boulder, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.
 Deceased is a brother, Leo.
 He retired from the former New Idea plant in Coldwater and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.

 She was born Sept. 24, 1940, in Hamilton.
 Surviving with her husband, LeRoy Garman of Wapakoneta, is a daughter, Linda M. (Greg) Wilker, Perrysburg.
 A graduate of Celina High School and Wright State University, she had worked at the former Huffy Corp. in Celina for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.

 She was born March 19, 1915, in Blackcreek Township, to Merle and Hazel Stover Yocum. On April 4, 1948, she married Ulysses Grant Reed who died Oct. 4, 1978.
 Surviving are a sister, Doris Piper, Rockford; nine nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
 Two brothers, Russell Lee and George John Yocum, are deceased.
 She and her husband served 20 years in the Salvation Army before retiring to Rockford. She was a Sunday School teacher and helper at New Horizon Church.

 He retired as vice president of Allen Dental Lab, Fort Wayne, and served as treasurer of the State of Indiana Dental Lab. A graduate of Madison High School in Jay County, Ind., he attended Fort Wayne Business College and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

 John A. Montague, 46, formerly of St. Marys, died Dec. 3, 2003, at his residence in San Francisco, Calif. Death was due to natural causes.
 He was born Aug. 20, 1957, in Lima, and adopted in June 1963 by Eldon and Mary Freytag Montague. They survive in St. Marys.
 A sister, Mary Hoenie, Chicago, Ill., also survives.
 He graduated in 1976 from St. Marys Memorial High School, where he played varsity football and basketball. He also attended Ohio University, Athens, and served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
 Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. John Wine officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Jay Poor
 Mendon native Jay D. Poor, 67, of Botkins, died at 3:40 p.m. Dec. 3, 2003, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
 He was born May 7, 1936, in Mendon, to Walter and Luella Siler Poor. On Sept, 26, 1959, he married Susan L. McGrath who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Stephen of Wapakoneta and Joseph (Alison) of Upper Arlington; two daughters, Jennifer and Maria, both  of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Patty (Ed) Krogman, Mendon; and four grandchildren.
 He retired in 1989 as an engineering supervisor with Ford Motor Co. in Lima after 33 years service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins, and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Zapata, Texas. He had served in the Ohio National Guard.
 Funeral Mass was 10:30 a.m. Dec. 8 at the Botkins church, the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiated.

 She was born Oct. 29, 1945, in Celina, to LeRoy and Dorothy Bauer Schroeder. Her mother survives in Celina. On April 29, 1972, she married Terrel M. Putman who also survives.

 She worked at Celina Insurance Group and later at McDonaldís restaurant, Celina. A 1965 graduate of Celina High School, she was a member of Celina First Church of God.

 Cleo Lucile Reed, 88, of Rockford, died at 3:37 a.m. Dec. 8, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
 She was born March 19, 1915, in Blackcreek Township, to Merle and Hazel Stover Yocum. On April 4, 1948, she married Ulysses Grant Reed who died Oct. 4, 1978.
 Surviving are a sister, Doris Piper, Rockford; nine nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
 She and her husband served 20 years in the Salvation Army before retiring to Rockford. She was a Sunday School teacher and helper at New Horizon Church.
 Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Robert Loar officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

 He was born June 20, 1925, in Bowling Green, to Edward Freeman and Ariel Taylor Russell. On May 12, 1946, he married Helen A. Coats and she survives.
 Also surviving are four daughters, Rebecca Cannon, Salt Lake City, Utah, Viki Shaffer, Celina, Peggy Jo (Dale) Borts, Dayton, and Jane Davis, Gig Harbor, Wash.; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a son-in-law, James Q. Cannon, and a sister and brother-in-law, Martha Joan and David Russell.
 He operated his own trucking business for 26 years and was a salesman for Kenworth Trucks for 20 years before retiring in 1986. A 1943 graduate of Celina High School, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Asian-Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of St. Paulís United Methodist Church, Celina, and the Family Motor Coach Association.
 Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

 She was born Dec. 30, 1959, in Dayton, to Charles Baker and Janet Billiger Baker Ake. Her mother and stepfather, Don Ake, survive in St. Marys.

 She was born Jan. 11, 1918, in Celina, to Roy and Maggie Long Shimp. On Sept. 6, 1936, she married Harold E. Burger who died June 22, 1967.
 Surviving are two sons, James (Cleora) of St. Marys, and Robert of Cumming, Ga.; a daughter, Ruth Anne Roberts, St. Marys; a brother, Robert Shimp, Lima; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are four sisters, Mae Wurster, Mildred Jenkins, Bonnie Bockrath and Ruth Reisinger, and a granddaughter.
 She had been a child care provider for many years and also worked as a cashier at Agape Ministries Pantry in St. Marys. A 1935 graduate of Celina Senior High School, she was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Woman and the former Kishler Womenís Relief Corps, all of St. Marys.

 He was born July 22, 1946, in Martin, Ky., to Blaine and Mae Nitchie Salisbury. His mother survives in St. Marys. On March 18, 1966, he married Darlene Germann who also survives.
 Other survivors are a son, Lester B. (Brenda) of Rockford; a daughter, Dawn (Timothy) Doner, Celina; two brothers, Kenneth Dale (Nancy) and Danny (Valerie), all of St. Marys; a sister, Francis (Lee) Pyles, Indian Lake; and five grandchildren.
 He was a self-employed mechanic and gunsmith and owned Salisbury & Son Service Center and S&S Muzzle Loading Shop, both of Chattanooga. A 1965 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran and member of St. Paulís United Church of Christ, St. Marys. He also attended Mount Tabor Church of God, Celina.
 He was a member of the Willshire Sports Club, Stonestrace-Muzzleloading Club and Quabache Long Rife Club, both of Indiana, Shawnee Long Rifle Gun Club, VWA Long Rifle Club of West Virginia, and a life member of the NMLRA of which he was a field representative, assistant chief ranger officer and national champion. He also was a representative for the MDM Company of Vermont.

 Former Coldwater resident Mary M. Boehmer, 89, Centerville,  died at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 4, 2003, at St. Leonard Health Care Center in Centerville.
 She was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Coldwater, to Jacob and Carrie Puthoff Bettinger. On May 5, 1944, she married William Boehmer, who died May 11, 1975
 Survivors are a daughter, Karen (Daniel) Steinmetz, Centerville; a sister, Myrna Niekamp, Coldwater; and two grandchildren.
 She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Annís Rosary Altar Sodality and Community Hospital Auxiliary, all in Coldwater. She also volunteered at Briarwood Manor and the Community Hospital gift shop, both in Coldwater.

 Surviving with his wife, the former Sharon Leuthold, are two sons, William Justin Purdy, Bucyrus, and William Jason Honaker, Nevada; two daughters, Karen (Mike) McDaniel, Bucyrus, and Gail (Butch) Wilhite, Crestline; two sisters, Ann Jo (Joseph) Wagner, Columbus, and Jacqueline Kay (Richard) Neff, Simi Valley, Calif.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.
 He had worked at Swan for more than 26 years. A 1971 graduate of Bucyrus High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

 He was born Dec. 8, 1926, in Van Wert County, to Cloyce A. and Orah L. Hawk Springer. On Aug. 2, 1947, he married Bette M. Moore who died July 11, 1973.
 Surviving are a son, David A. (Sherri) of Van Wert; a daughter, Cathy L. (Charles) Etzler, Fort Recovery; a brother, David E. of Green Valley, Ariz.; 12 stepchildren, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

 He had owned Wrenco Trophy and worked there 35 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1311, Decatur, Ind., American Legion Post 178, Veterans of Foreign Wars #5508 and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, all of Van Wert, and the Masonic Lodge, Ohio City. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II.

 St. Henry native and former Celina resident Mary I. Zimmer, 74, of Kettering, died Nov. 29, 2003, in Naperville, Ill.
 She was born Jan. 30, 1929, in St. Henry, to Aloysius and Victoria Moeder. Her husbamd, Dr. Arthur Zimmer, is deceased.
 Surviving are a son, Raymond of Kettering; a daughter, Susan (Mark) Levy, Naperville; and three granddaughters.
 A brother, Joseph Moeder, is deceased.
 A 1950 graduate of St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, she had worked as a registered nurse in the obstetrics department at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

Charles Karcher
 Former St. Henry and Maria Stein resident Charles M. Karcher, 90, of Ottawa, died at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 28, 2003, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
 He was born Jan. 8, 1913 in West Leipsic, to Peter and Caroline Strathman Karcher. On July 20, 1937, he married Bertha Yaufman who survives.
 Also surviving are a daughter, Lyn (Tom) Mattingly, Louisville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a daughter, Sharon Lewis; a brother, Everett; and four sisters, Lenore Moenter, Marie Kihm, Violette Sheidler and Dorthea Lanwehr.
 He began his 51-year career in the field of education in 1936 at St. Henry, where he taught English and history and served as head coach of the basketball and baseball teams. He also served as superintendent of the Kalida School District and the Marion Local Schools in Maria Stein. In 1967, he was elected the first lay president of Nazareth College in Kentucky. He was professor of sociology and psychology at Kentucky State University. His last teaching assignment was with the RICA program at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa.
 He graduated from the University of Dayton in 1936, received a masterís degree from Bowling Green State University in 1956 and was a doctoral level student at the University of Louisville from 1964 to 1967.
 He was a member of the Putnam County Retired Teachers Association, Putnam County Council on Aging, Putnam County Mental Health Board, Mercer County Council for Retarded Children, the Order of Kentucky Colonels and various associations related to college presidents, teachers and coaches.
 Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
 Calling is 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. A scripture service will be held there at 3 p.m.

Fannie Lewis

 She was born Aug. 3, 1944, in Middletown, to Earman and Ida Mae Jones.
 Surviving with Delmer Lewis, her husband of 42 years, are two daughters, Susan (Barry) Turner, Verona, and Brenda of Troy; a brother, Tom Jones; three sisters, Frankie Jones, Ida Mae Sweeney and Betty Bowman; and five grandchildren.
 She formerly worked at Big Bear and was a member of Only Believe Ministries, Botkins.

Douglas Moeller
 Douglas C. ìDougî Moeller, 21, of Vandalia, died Nov. 30, 2003, in Huber Heights. Death was due to stab wounds sustained during  a street brawl in the Dayton suburb. He was born Jan. 6, 1982, in Dayton, to Kevin and Cindy Moeller. They survive in Vandalia.
 Also surviving are two brothers, Kevin and Daniel, both of Vandalia; and the grandparents, Frank and Betty Barhorst, Piqua, and former Mercer County residents Earl and Evelyn Jutte Moeller, Sidney.
 He was a student at Bowling Green State University and also had attended Edison State College, Piqua. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia, and a 2001 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School, where he played football, wrestled and was a member of the Distributive Education Clubs of America.
 Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
 Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
 Contributions can be made to the Vandalia-Butler Foundation for a scholarship to be established in his memory.

I. Paul Boroff
 I. Paul Boroff, 87, of Venedocia, died at 3:45 p.m. Nov. 29, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
 He was born April 14, 1916, in Mercer County, to Harry and Annetta Jane Jones Boroff. On April 18, 1942, he married Edith Mearl Workman who died May 10, 2002.
 Surviving are a son, Paul Leslie (Janell A.) of Van Wert; three brothers, Donald (Carolyn) of Hawkinsville, Ga., Charles of Mendon and Richard (Lois) of Spencerville; a sister, Mildred (Harold) Patrick, Converse; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
 He was a farmer and worked 191/2 years as a manufacturing engineer at Teleflex Corp., Van Wert. He was a 1935 graduate of Mendon High School and a member of Spencerville United Church of Christ, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Acadia Lodge 306 Free and Accepted Masons, Spencerville Chapter 169 Royal Arch Masons, Delphos Council 72 Royal and Select Masters and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton.
 Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Ronald L. Shifley officiating. Burial will follow at Spencerville Cemetery.
 Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Masonic memorial rites will be conducted there at 8 p.m.

Bertha Bruns
 Bertha Sophia Bruns, 81, 418 West North Street, Coldwater, died at 1:40 p.m. Nov. 30, 2003, at her residence.
 She was born May 27, 1922, in Coldwater, to Joseph and Anna Steggeman Wenning. On Oct. 9, 1945, she married Urban Bruns who died Dec. 20, 1992.
 Surviving are four sons, Paul (Judy), Jim (Marg) and Ken, all of Coldwater, and Donald of Union City; a daughter, Ruth (John) Peters, Ansonia; two brothers, Walter (Benetta) Wenning, Texas, and James (Juanita) Wenning, Coldwater; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a daughter, Cynthia; a brother, William Wenning; and two sisters, Loretta Hemmert and Sally Paulus.
 She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and St. Annís Rosary Altar Sodality, both of Coldwater.
 Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Donna Denney
 Donna M. Denney, 77, formerly of 546 Locust St., St. Marys, and a resident of Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys, died at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 29, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
 She was born Jan. 9, 1926, in Churubusco, Ind., to Elmer and Rilla Sedam Longsworth. On Feb. 3, 1945, she married Dellious Denney who died Sept. 3, 1987.
 Surviving are a son, Gene (Judy) of Norwalk; two daughters, Ida (John) Valentine, Canal Winchester, and Joan (Bill) Ahlers, New Bremen; six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a brother, Paul Longsworth, and a sister, Ethel Harruff.
 She worked at the former St. Marys Cotton Mill and later was a housekeeper at Valley Nursing Home.
 Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. James Nuhfer officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Marie Froning
 Marie J. Froning, 92, formerly of Mill Street, Chickasaw, and St. Sebastian, died at 8:45 p.m. Nov. 28, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
 She was born Nov. 13, 1911, in Sharpsburg, to John and Rose Kuether Sutter. On Sept. 11, 1934, she married Clem J. Froning who died March 9, 1994.
 Surviving are a son, John (Beverly) of Lake City, Tenn.; six daughters, Sister Patricia of Owensboro, Ky., Virginia Stephenson, Wooster, Marge (James) Goecke, Coatsville, Ind., Judith (Urban) Mescher, Maria Stein, Kathleen (William) Scholes, Fremont, N.H. and Cynthia (Nicholas) Rammel, Montezuma; a son-in-law, James Brown, Tiffin; 30 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
 A daughter, Joan, is deceased.
 She had worked as cafeteria cook and manager at Marion Local Schools for 17 years and also was a homemaker. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Sodality, both of Chickasaw, Catholic Knights of America, Cassella, the Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Maria Stein, and the Rosary Altar Sodality of St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
 Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Chickasaw church, the Rev. John Bensman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery.
 Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.

Doris Hoelscher
 Doris J. Hoelscher, 60, 13343 Conover Road, Versailles, died at 5:30 a.m. Nov. 28, 2003, in the emergency room at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. Death was due to natural causes.
 She was born Dec. 4, 1942, in Fort Loramie, to Herbert and Helen Bergman Brandewie. On Feb. 19, 1963, she married Richard F. Hoescher who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Michael (Catherine) of Yorkshire; two daughters, Kelly (Greg) Ranard, San Angelo, Texas, and Pamela (Terry) Daulton, Urbana; a brother, Daniel (Treva) Brandewie, Fort Loramie; a sister, Sally (Louis) Dirksen, Portland, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
 A son, Charles, is deceased.
 She was a 1960 graduate of Fort Loramie High School and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood.
 Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will be at St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.

Doris Imwalle
 Doris Jean Imwalle, 71, 333 High St., Newport, died at 9:05 p.m. Nov. 27, 2003, in the emergency room at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
 She was born Jan. 12, 1932, in Fort Loramie, to William H. and Margaret C. Lachey Raterman. On Oct. 3, 1953, she married Walter L. Brandewie who died Feb. 13, 1963. On June 21, 1968, she married Herbert J. Imwalle who died July 3, 1974.
 Surviving are 10 sons, Steven J. Brandewie, Anna, William P. (Joyce) Brandewie, Versailles, Daniel L. (Kristi) Brandewie, Russia, Mark A. (Anita) Brandewie and Joseph H. (Connie) Imwalle, all of Fort Loramie, Eric W. Brandewie, Newport, Michael A. (Mary Kara) Imwalle, Mobile, Ala., Steven L. (Kris) Imwalle and Daniel J. Imwalle, all of New Bremen, and David C. (Eileen) Imwalle, Tulsa, Okla.; and six daughters, Shirley A. (Ron) Finkenbine, Anna, Michelle J. (Mark) Middendorf, Fort Loramie, Linda L. (William) Meyer, Debra A. (Jack) Maurer and Kathy M. (Jeff) Pape, all of New Bremen, and Connie S. (Walter H. III) Wright, Houston.
 Others survivors include a brother, Paul W. (Kate) Raterman, Urbana; three sisters, Mary Lou Noonan, Texas, Patricia Ann (Ray) Shouse, Arizona, and Peggy D. Cordonnier, Sidney; 45 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
 She owned and operated Jeanís Beauty Shop, worked as a bookkeeper for Meyerís Garage in Newport and was a Shelby County Board of Elections worker. She retired from the communications department at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality and the church prayer circle, all of Newport.
 Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Fort Loramie.
