DELINQUENT TAX LIST - REAL ESTATE TAXES
Section 5721.03 of the Revised Code of Ohio makes it mandatory that the real estate that has become delinquent shall be advertised in the name of the owner, together with the amount of taxes, assessments, penalties, and interest due and unpaid thereon.
These parcels shall be advertised on NOVEMBER 6, 2024, unless paid in full OR arrangements for installment payments are made by noon November 4, 2024 which is within 48 hours of the advertised date. The delinquent list can be found on our website https://auditor.mercercountyohio.gov
DELINQUENT VACANT LAND TAX LIST
This list is land on which taxes have remained unpaid for one year after being certified delinquent and they are subject to foreclosure and forfeiture proceedings as provided in the Ohio Revised Code Section 5721.14, unless the taxes, assessments, interest, and penalties due and owing on them are paid within twenty-eight (28) days after the final publication of the notice.

MANUFACTURED HOME TAXES AND PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES
Section 5719.04 of the Revised Code of Ohio makes it mandatory that the manufactured homes and personal property that have become delinquent shall be advertised in the name of the owner, together with the amount of taxes, penalties and interest due and unpaid thereon.
The parcels shall be advertised on NOVEMBER 6, 2024, unless paid in full OR arrangements for installment payments are made by noon November 4, 2024, which is within 48 hours of the advertised date.
An interest charge will accrue on accounts remaining unpaid after the last day of November unless the taxpayer enters a written understanding to pay such taxes in installments.
The books of the Treasurer of Mercer County are open for the collection of all delinquent real estate, personal property and manufactured home taxes on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. November 11, 2024, in observance of Veterans Day, the office is closed.

The registration deadline for the November 5, 2024, General Election is October 7. As required by law, those who plan to exercise their right to vote in the November 5, 2024, Primary Election, must be registered to vote at least 30 days before the election. Registration forms can be obtained at the Board of Elections and are also available at the authorized agencies listed below during their regular business hours.

Qualifications to Vote in the Election
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Absentee Ballots by Mail
Applications to get your Absentee Ballot by mail need to be addressed to the Board of Elections, must be in writing, and must be received no later than 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024. Applications will be mailed to those who request one by calling our office. A separate application is necessary for each election. Mailing of Absentee Ballots will begin on October 8, 2024.
Voters must bring photo identification to the polls to verify their identity. Voters who do not provide photo identification will still be able to vote by casting a provisional ballot.
Photo identification includes the following documents that includes the individual's name and photograph and is not expired: an Ohio driver's license, state ID card, or interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV; a US passport or passport card; or a US military ID card, Ohio National Guard ID card, or US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card.

NOTICE TO CUT WEEDS
O.R.C. 5579.06
The Board of Trustees of Franklin Township has been notified that there are weeds and grasses growing on the property at 5494 Behms Road, Celina Ohio. They are defined in section 5579.05 as noxious weeds. Section 1129.27 of the Franklin Township Zoning code states: In any district other than agriculture district weeds, grass and similar vegetative matter shall not exceed 8" in height. The Ohio Revised Code and the Franklin Township Zoning Code requires these weeds and grasses be cut within five days of receipt of this notice. If they are not cut and no reason is shown for failure to do so, the Board of Trustees will cut the weeds and grasses in accordance with Section 5579.06 and report the expense to the County Auditor to be added to the real estate taxes for the above parcel in compliance with section 5579.07.
