Layla Taloo, a mother from the ancient Yazidi sect, visits the mass grave where her husband, Marwan, is beloved to be buried in Tal Afar, Iraq on Aug. 31, 2019. The young family was captured in August 2014 by Islamic State militants during their campaign to overtake large swaths of Iraq and Syria. Marwan was never seen again; Layla and her children were in captivity for more than two years, where she was owned, and raped by, eight different men. (AP Photo/Maya Alleruzzo)
