Fourth-generation sword Master Renzo Musumeci Greco, center, flanked by instructors Maria Agnese Rinaldi, left, and Andres Campos directs the practice at the Musumeci Greco Arms Academy in Rome, Thursday, July 4, 2024. In 1994, it was his turn to carry on the academy tradition. In 1958, at age 6, he was on the set of the Hollywood blockbuster film Ben-Hur with his father, Enzo, who taught actor Charlton Heston and others how to swing a Roman sword during the filming of the religious epic drama at Rome's Cinecitta' Studios. On his father's path he today has a project. "I want to create a module for teaching stage fencing in acting schools. Ideally, a single and versatile module that can be applied to both entertainment and traditional fencing", he explains. (AP Photo/Domenico Stinellis)
