Vintage Cushman scooters take to the pavement towards Portland, Ind., after a stop at Niekamp's Farm and Flea Market Wednesday afternoon. The Cushman was a popular ride starting in the late 1940s, getting 75-125 miles to a gallon of gasoline. Cushman also built industrial style scooters and was eventually pushed out of business by Honda, according to Cushman enthusiasts. The scooters were part of over 100 vintage scooters and motorbikes, predominately Wizzers, on the Vintage Motorbike Club sanctioned ride. See related photo on back page.
