Gary Osterfeld captured this photo of Comet Neowise Monday night from outside Coldwater. Comet Neowise is the brightest comet we have had in 23 years and can be seen about an hour after sunset in the NNW through the end of July. It is easily visible with binoculars. The coment only enters the inner solar system every 6800 years, the nucleus itself is only about 3 miles in diameter and it is currently about 80 million miles away from Earth. It gets closest to Earth on July 22nd.
