Richard Fanning
Richard Fanning, 81, of Loudonville, died at 9:37 p.m. July 18, 2006, at Methodist Hospital, Peoria, Ill.
He was born May 24, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., to Ralph and Leone A. Heath Fanning. His first wife, Nancy Hudson, is deceased. He married Ruth Arold, who survives in West Lake.
Also surviving are two sons, Craig (Geri), Wildwood, Mo., and R. Scott (Linda), Lisle, Ill.; two daughters, Gay (Dennis) Knapp, Congerville, Ill., and Laura, Cleveland; a brother, Ronald (Jenine), Celina; two sisters, Elaine Ellis, Carmel, Ind., and Patricia (Roy) Dickinson, Waterdown, Ontario; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother-in-law, Charles Ellis; and two grandchildren.
He was the publishing editor for Penton/Industrial Publishing Co., Cleveland. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Radio Relay League and the Great Book Society.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, with military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign War Post 5713 and American Legion Post 210, both of Celina.
Calling is 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
