Celina Firefighter Doug Wolters contemplates how this car was able to wedge between a house and doghouse early this morning on U.S. 127 near Mendon. "An expensive alarm clock," commented an resident at 9984 U.S. 127, Mendon. All occupants of the house were asleep when the car struck their home. The car reportedly traveled on and off south bound U.S. 127 before missing the dog, hitting its house and then stopping between the house's porch and doghouse. The driver was transported to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. The Celina Fire Department and the Rockford Emergency Squad responded to the scene. Further information was pending at press time.
