Edna Schunk
Mercer County native Edna R. Wilker Schunk, 83, of Dayton, died Aug. 19, 2006, at Heartland of Kettering.
She was born Nov. 2, 1922, in Mercer County, to Joseph and Wilhelmina Wilker. She married Charles E. Shunk, who is deceased.
Survivors are a daughter, Linda Crowell, Dayton; a brother, Clete (Clara) Wilker, Coldwater; two sisters, Ethel Klosterman, Montezuma, and Mary Ann (Adolph) Dorsten, Dayton; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilker, Montezuma; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Deceased are a daughter, Shirley I. Evemy; son-in-law, Alan F. Evemy; two brothers Sylvester and Raymond Wilker; a sister-in-law Julianne Wilker; a sister, Loretta Connors; two brothers-in-law, Bud Connors and Lee Klosterman; and a great-granddaughter.
She retired from Alta Nursing Home after 17 years. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 657, Dayton.
Funeral Mass was 10 a.m. today at Emmanuel Catholic Chuch, Dayton,
