Marilyn Schlater
Marilyn L. Schlater, 67, 4833 Mercer-Darke County Line Road, St. Henry, died at 8:20 a.m. Aug. 29, 2006, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 4, 1938, in Burkettsville, to Alex and Alma Schoen Winner. On Oct. 26, 1957, she married Kenneth Schlater, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Richard (Vicki), North Star, Ronald (Karen), Burkettsville, and James (Renee), Maria Stein; two daughters, Karen (Jim) Kaiser, Centerville, and Lisa (David) Ziemnik, Waynesville; two brothers, Jerry (Rita) Winner, Coldwater, and Ken Winner, Piqua; and 19 grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Chris.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, where she was an eucharistic minister and a member of the Ladies Sodality. She also taught religious education classes in the Catholic parishes of Burkettsville and St. Henry. She was a member of the Mercer County Elks Ladies Golf Association.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
