Damon Klenke
Damon Klenke, 13, 687 Mercer-Darke County Line Road, Fort Recovery, died the evening of Sept. 26, 2006, in a wooded area on the southeast corner of Darke-Mercer County Line and Lightsville-Northern Road. Death was the result of an ATV accident.
He was born Feb. 18, 1993, in Coldwater, to Richard Klenke and Kimberly Wendel. His father and stepmother, Richard and Karen, and mother and stepfather, Kimberly and Keith Will, all survive in Fort Recovery.
Also surviving are a sister, Chelsea, Fort Recovery; three half brothers, Davis and Kaden Will and Cody Klenke, all of Fort Recovery; a stepsister, Kylie Keller, St. Henry; three grandparents, Lilly Mock, Portland, Ind., Ivo and Mary Lou Wendel, Fort Recovery; four stepgrandparents, Norbert and Betty Weitzel and John and Diann Will, all of Fort Recovery; and six stepgreat-grandparents, Alberta Weitzel, Fort Recovery, Viola Kemper, Chickasaw, Viro and Henrietta Will, Fort Recovery, and Jerry and Rita Pottkotter, Fort Recovery.
Deceased is grandfather, Donald Klenke.
He was an eighth-grade student at Fort Recovery Middle School and a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Clay Busters and Barnyard Boosters 4-H Club, all of Fort Recovery. He was active in the Ohio Progressive Sportsman Club, Fort Recovery, and Pheasants Forever of Mercer County.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Charles Mullen officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
