James Sibert
Celina native James Walter Sibert, 69, of Colorado, died the evening of Sept. 25, 2006, at Pikes Peak Care Center, Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Celina, to Lowell and Gladys Bilter Sibert. On Dec. 5, 1958, he married Martha Ann Lamb, who survives in Monument, Colo.
Also surviving are twin sons, Tom (Joy), Star City, Ark., and Steve (Terry), Peyton, of Colorado.; two daughters, Katrina, Venice, Calif., and Tonya (Scott) Mellen, Winter Park, Fla.; a brother, Richard (Shirley), Celina; a sister, Jean (John) Bruns, St. Henry; and 15 grandchildren.
He worked in construction in Louisiana, Kansas, California and Colorado. He graduated in 1955 from Celina High School and in 1960 from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a civil engineering degree. He was a member of the Church at Woodmore, where he was treasurer, Sunday school teacher and was active in and taught Bible study groups.
Services were held Sept. 29 in Monument, Colo.
