David Foster
David Vaughn Foster, 41, of Mount Prospect, Ill., died Oct. 27, 2006, following a short battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 17, 1964, in Adams County, to Richard V. and R. Marlene Thompson Foster, who survive in Peebles. On May 13, 1995, he married Lori Schrolucke, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, H. Madelleine, Mount Prospect; two brothers, Christopher (Michelle), Columbus, and Timothy, Peebles; and a sister, Kimberly (Kevin) Breech, McDermott.
He was a food scientist and worked for 17 years at Barrington, Ill., and Pleasanton, Calif., research facilities. He most recently held the position of principal scientist and earned several patents after joining the research and development division of Quaker Oats/Pepsico Company in 1989. He was a 1982 graduate of Peebles High School and received bachelor and master of science degrees in food science from The Ohio State University.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Northwest Assembly of God Church, Mount Prospect. Graveside services and burial are 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. A procession will form at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville.
Calling is 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Friedrichs Funeral Home, Mount Prospect.
