Dedicated shoppers

A group of young men bide their time in the layaway department at Wal-Mart in Celina where they are camping out for a chance to buy one of this year's hottest Christmas items, the new Sony PlayStation 3, set for release at 12:01 a.m. Friday. Two of the men, from right, Justin Krogman, 22, and Rick Inman, 24, students at Wright State University-Lake Campus, have been permanent fixtures in the store since Tuesday morning. The other pair, from left, Dean Puthoff, 20, of St. Marys, and Keyton Eberle, 19, of Celina, arrived Wednesday morning. As of this morning there were 10 people - now housed in the lawn and garden center - waiting to purchase a PlayStation. Store officials say only 10 game systems are guaranteed to arrive at the Celina store. The game-crazed campers do not dare leave their place in line, so Krogman of Van Wert and Inman of Anna have found temporary replacements to fill their lawn chairs while they take exams at the university today.
