Kathryn Adams
Kathryn L. "Kay" Adams, 77, of rural Rawson, died at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 21, 2006, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Findlay.
She was born April 28, 1929, in Hancock County to Harold M. and Gwendolyn Orwick Benson. On Oct. 5, 1952, she married J. Kenneth Adams, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Mark (Dale), Beaver Dam, Wisc.; a daughter, Elaine, St. Henry; a brother, Wade (Jo Ann) Benson, Findlay; two grandsons and two stepgrandchildren.
She was employed for 15 years as district manager for World Book-Childcraft International, serving schools and libraries in several counties. She worked on the family farm, was a musician and served as a church organist, choir director and Sunday school teacher. She also served as a youth director for the Ohio Sandusky Conference, first vice-president of the Women's Missionary Society, a member of the Conference Board of Missions, the West Ohio Conference Women's Society Executive Committee and on the North Central Jurisdictional Task Forces. She was a 1947 graduate of Liberty High School and attended the Cleveland Bible College and Gateway Church.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, Findlay, the Rev. Ben Borsay officiating. Burial is at Benton Ridge Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
