'Riders get first victory

St. Marys got a big night from Adam Johns in picking up their first win of the season with a 62-56 win at Perry on Friday night. The loss was the first of the season for the Commodores.
Johns, the Roughriders' 6-6 senior center, scored 20 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to pace the Roughriders.
St. Marys held a slim 29-27 lead at the half, but jumped out 15-10 in the third quarter to get all the cushion it needed for the win.
Cory Menker added 13 points for St. Marys. Jon Brenneman finished with nine.
The Roughriders will look to make it two straight tonight, hosting New Bremen at McBroom Gymnasium.

Tigers hold off Cavs
Versailles pulled away in the third quarter, beating Lehman 52-48 in Sidney on Friday.
Lehman led 24-23 at the break before the Tigers put together a 23-11 third quarter to take a 46-33 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers got closer in the fourth quarter, but could not threaten the Tigers.
Jeremy Shardo led a balanced Versailles attack with 13 points. Andrew Schwartz scored 12 points with Bryant Ahrens and Jordan Liette adding 11 each.
Doug Westerheide led Lehman (4-2) with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Panthers fall to Muskies
A slow start hurt Parkway as Fort Jennings defeated the Panthers in Putnam County 48-29.
The Musketeers jumped out 18-3 in the first quarter and led 25-9 at the half against the Panthers.
Josh Fisher led the Panthers with nine points. Adam Heck added six points.
Parkway hosts Crestview tonight.
