Mary Wendeln
Mary Jean Wendeln, 73, of Fort Loramie, died at 4:35 a.m. Jan. 16, 2007, at Wilson Hospital, Sidney. She was ill one and a half years.
She was born March 4, 1933, in Minster, to Raymond and Laura Stueve Westerheide. On May 17, 1952, she married Alfred H. Wendeln, who died Feb. 1, 1979.
Survivors are two sons, Tony (Karen) and Rick, both of Piqua; a daughter, Lori (Mike) Rose, Fort Loramie; a brother, Lee Westerheide, Minster; two sisters, Norma Sacksteder and Rita Grimm, both of Minster; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Deceased are a brother and two sisters.
She retired after 32 years as a buyer for I.E. Industries, Minster, and Midmark Corp, Versailles. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, its Catholic Ladies of Columbus and American Legion Auxiliary Post 355, all of Fort Loramie.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 am. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
